Conqueror of the Seven Empires

Conqueror of the Seven Empires

' At the corner of the place, there's something lingering around with malicious eyes. ***************** Manila. In the place where a cry of battle is happening. In the place where deformed dried ashen rocks are all around the area like the area has been engulfed by lava. Countless blood spilling out from here and there. In the middle of the bizarre place, there are thousands of humans fighting against something. That something can be called by one thing, monsters. Monsters cannot be defined through science or even heard from any tales or myths. These monsters they are facing are the embodiment of darkness, their faces cannot be clearly seen even when the sun is up in the sky.

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

"Is someone else helping Casper, and he's not alone?" Just as Maisie racked her brain and was filled with doubts, a snowdrift the size of a small hill not far away violently trembled, and it fell apart. Then, about four monsters screamed as they flew out. Blood gushed out of their bodies furiously, and it was as if countless metal needles pierced them. Soon, large swaths of blood sprayed everywhere, spattering numerous blood spots on the ground. Everyone's line of sight was immediately attracted to the scene. The next second, they saw dozens of monsters after the snowdrift exploded. These monsters made strange screams and roared angrily, forming a circle as if they fought against something.

Even if i still read it, this book stopped being interesting after Grand pure emperor was killed...(that is ch. 2200 maybe) It is like realms are only introduced after he reaches a peak of the previous. There is nothing special about these realms and there is nothing special about the book anymore.

Astral Odyssey: Dying Ember

Astral Odyssey: Dying Ember

The more superstitious ones backed off in fear that the girls were getting possessed. The girls eventually morphed into huge disfigured muscly monsters that lashed out with vengeance. As chaos descended in the building, Nozomi stood at the top. She welcomed the fresh air entering her airways, which felt too clogged up with the clammy air from the building. Then, she glanced down dispassionately at the created monsters. They were wiping the floor with their abusers and bathing in their blood.

The Villainess Wants To Make Baby First, Revenge Later!

The Villainess Wants To Make Baby First, Revenge Later!

Each of them realized that they needed a little quietness at times like these. In just a day, the kingdom had lost countless soldiers, as well as civilians at the hands of monsters – which weren't even monster grande. According to the info provided by Dylan, there is a term "monster grande" which refers to a monster that is bigger, fiercer, and intelligent and is the biggest threat to mankind. The numbers were still few, but no one ever knew when they would be able to double their numbers and enter the Haddad Kingdom.

Monsters From The Mist

Monsters From The Mist

Thorny vines shot out of the woods and wrapped themselves around one of the monsters, trapping it but it wouldn't hold for long. The other two ran towards me with a speed I hadn't expected from monsters their size. Blasting them with my water magic didn't deter them, instead, it angered them further. They had almost gotten to me when the mist popped out six huge monsters, five of which immediately went into action. The winged monster didn't, instead, it trotted to me and nuzzled my cheek, making me smile. The Egran, which I had decided to name my monsters, fought with Karissa's scorpion-wolves with such speed that stunned the scorpion-wolves themselves at first.

Keepers of the 3rd Seal

she points at Gus, asking him to continue explaining. Gus clears his throat to speak, the thinking was to start, “You see here boys, we -meaning me, your father, together with other people- are responsible for keeping our world secret about monsters, they are history. Humans need to move forward, create advancement and look forward to the future, not be scared of monsters from long ago. Most of these monsters are already destroyed or vanquished by the keepers from long ago, even before my time. Some of them are just entombed, captured, and Sealed on artifacts. We the keepers are responsible for guarding each one. You see, there is a total of nine artifacts out there,” he held his nine finger

Conscious Conscience

Conscious Conscience

I closed my eyes when a sudden quake happened and a loud unexplainable slit appeared in front of the room nearest to us. Of course that ruined the moment, but what I'm most afraid of is that monsters suddenly went out of the slit when the quake stopped. Ellie came eye to eye with the humanoid pig-like monster, well there is actually a proper name for it, an Orc. Suddenly my glasses vibrated, and a notification appeared on my inbox. The Mafia Lycan's Obsession

The Mafia Lycan's Obsession

Liv led the parade of dragons, although the red and blue ones stayed behind Danny and Amelia. Simultaneously, as Damonq leapt into the air, coming down with his fist driving forward straight through bone and sinew to find the monster’s heart, three missiles flew straight to the monsters waiting for the children. Rolling in the air as they flew, flames erupted and they burst through their chests, straight to the hearts, incinerating all three on contact. The monsters stood with their mouths open, shocked looks on their faces, and then they toppled backward. The grate fell, covering the hole, and with it dropped the side of the building, revealing a cavernous lift.

My lover is a Monster

My lover is a Monster

Her heart ached as Elizah turned her gaze out the window. "I’m sure the perpetrator wasn’t Liam. The police caught the wrong person, Julie. I don’t want to live like this. They let the real perpetrator walk free while Liam is imprisoned!" Elizah’s voice was heavy and filled with anger. Julie fully understood her sister’s feelings but could do nothing except try to calm her down. Julie fell silent, recalling something: "monsters." Yes, Elizah screamed "monsters," meaning there was more than one perpetrator. "Monsters. What do you mean by monsters? Did you feel there was more than one person?"

Frequently Asked Questions

Ever since I stumbled upon 'Monsters', I've been on the hunt for stories that blend that same eerie, psychological depth with raw human emotion. If you loved the way it blurred the lines between humanity and monstrosity, you might adore 'The Vegetarian' by Han Kang. It's a haunting exploration of identity and transformation, where the protagonist's refusal to eat meat spirals into something far darker. The prose is lyrical yet unsettling, much like 'Monsters'.

Another gem is 'Annihilation' by Jeff VanderMeer. It’s a surreal, atmospheric dive into an unknown territory where the boundaries of self and nature dissolve. The unreliable narration and creeping dread reminded me so much of 'Monsters'. For something more grounded but equally gripping, 'My Year of Rest and Relaxation' by Ottessa Moshfegh delivers a protagonist whose self-destructive tendencies make you question who the real monster is.
