CHAPTER 280 ~3RD PERSON'S POV~ “What in the world is that?” Mary asked with shock and fear in her eyes. Clarabelle held Mary's hand tightly and pulled her to her back. “What are you doing?” Mary asked. “What does it look like I'm doing? I'm protecting you,” Clarabelle replied as she watched the monster slowly walk toward them, growing loudly. “But I should be the one protecting you; I have the power of an Immortal. You haven't figured out how to access your abilities yet,” Mary argued.

“Put him down and face me, you damned coward.” “I’m sorry! I’m sorry I didn’t listen! Please let me go! I’m sorry!” Andy wails with a howl in his voice. His eyes look even more scared as the fire gets close to his face. The look changes to anger and his eyes turn black. His fangs grow long and his little fingers grow painfully enormous claws from his fingernails. Even with Wraith taking control, Andy’s body is too small for him to do anything about the situation. He looks around for help and makes eye contact with the wolf guard Andy loves and depends on. “Clash! Help me! NOW!”

But because he was only a human who was getting old, he could easily be taken down. Mrs. Petri threw everything in the kitchen to chase away the werewolves including their wolf who was like a mad dog, while Amora moved nimbly to beat the intruders. Her foot stepped on the dish cupboard in the kitchen and then kicked a wolf. It was blown away and hit a werewolf.

They were noting down something and then they moved backwards into the decontamination zone. I walked down the stairs slowly with my mentor and I held in a breath as through the glass and staff taking off their hazmat suits, I could see the contamination zone. I could see that there was row after row of cages of roaring alphas chained. I flinched with the betas with the sound increasing while Dr. Dawson stood his ground and smirked. "Those are people in cages?" I stuttered out my sentence wiping my eyes as I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

But he was determined to protect his team, to shield them from the impending storm. Just as Lady Susan was about to unleash her devastating attack, Alfred's quick reflexes allowed him to activate his defense poison power. A shield of emerald green energy engulfed his team, absorbing the brunt of Lady Susan's assault. The Moonstone clan, alerted by the commotion, emerged from the shadows, their eyes wide with surprise. They had been unaware of the Crescent Claws' presence, their attention focused on Mary Jane, a member of the Moonstone clan. They observed Mary Jane from a distance and they were sure that Mary Jane was also an alpheno werewolf.

The wolves set a bonfire ablaze, flames licking high into the night sky, sparks scattering like stars. Its eyes were that horrible bloodshot red, and its claws were extended, each one as long as my fingers. The head was wolf-shaped but wrong somehow, too large and misshapen. Red sand seemed to cling to its fur, glinting in the sunlight. Pete made a strangled noise of fear. My hand flew to my sword, drawing it in one smooth motion. "Pete," I said quietly, not taking my eyes off the creature. "Run. Find Darius or Torren or any of the guards. Tell them there's a nightwalker here." "I'm not leaving you!" Pete's voice was high with panic.

I even patted their heads. "Oh, thank you for not hurting me." I said and touched their head.The twins liked it and linked their tails around me. I saw a man rushing to come to us with two bodyguards. They looked at us like they knew these two young werewolves currently cuddling to me. The bodyguards surrounded me. "Maya, Matt, enough cuddling to her." the man called the names of these kids. The twin stopped from what they were doing and went to the bodyguards.
