Being Mr CEO's Bride

Being Mr CEO's Bride

“Any recent acquisitions?” I nodded seriously and leaned forward. “Madame Beatrice. She whispers Latin at night. My neighbor moved out because of her.” “I see.” This man should be calling security. Instead, he’s sipping wine and looking at me like I’m the entertainment which was a kind of off-putting. I leaned in even more, my eyes narrowing. “Are you into weird girls, Mr. Montgomery?” I asked, finally spitting out the question that had been burning the tip of my tongue.

My Sister's Mate Is Obsessed With Me

My Sister's Mate Is Obsessed With Me

That part of the story was too tangled and too raw and I didn't have the words for it yet so I left it for another night. The weeks turned into months and the months had a shape to them that I hadn't expected. Maren's neighbor to the left was a woman named Hilde who kept goats and brought us milk in a tin pail every other morning. The first time she came to the door I was sitting at the kitchen table and she looked at me and then at Maren and Maren said "this is Sera, she's staying with me" and Hilde nodded once and said "nice to meet you, Sera" and set the pail on the table and left without a single other question.

Teaching My Overbearing Neighbor a Good Lesson

Teaching My Overbearing Neighbor a Good Lesson

I sent a smiley face emoji, thinking to myself that Robert was a pretty great guy. Over the next few days, Robert and I visited the neighbors to collect evidence for the court. After that, all we could do was wait for the trial. The evening before the trial, there was a loud knock at my door. I opened it to find an angry-looking, burly stranger. He glared at me, asking, "So you're the one who's been messing with my mom?"

My New Neighbour

My New Neighbour

I took a long deep breath and leaned back, burrowing my back in the wall, trying to get away but well, I couldn't. A man, in his late forties came into view and smiled. Those smiles that you would always see in a horror movie? Well, that's the one which was being thrown my way right now. I couldn't help but feel disoriented. I wanted to get away, please. Just get me the hell away from here. Anyone?

Vette
Will there be a second book? I noticed the author doesn’t comment on anything so I’m gonna guess and say no that the readers don’t seem to matter with zero interaction from the author.. good book though.
Debbi Acuña
I so enjoyed reading this and am so excited to start the second one. This novel was very well written and kept me interested. I like happy endings and the threat of revenge still is something to be aware of. The writer of this story is very talented

Dating My Neighbor

Dating My Neighbor

he said to me, and I nodded in agreement. He moved even closer to me, and I could feel the warmth of his body. I couldn't help but smile in that moment, and I looked up to see his face just as the spotlight shifted away from us. Wrong timing! "My name is Kent, and I'm your neighbor," I heard his name, but I couldn't understand his last words due to the loud music. I simply nodded so he wouldn't notice that I was getting lost in my own thoughts again.

The Arrogant Bastard, Stalker And Me

I placed one hand on the door and leaned sideways against it. "Oh you know just the normal. Um, so you see," Come on, blurt out anything. Blurt it out! Come on! Anything- "it's the... milk man. Yeah, I asked my neighbor to get me milk and um he is here to give it to me."

The Unveiled Soul

The Unveiled Soul

"What?" "You're so scared. Let me guess, you weren't one of the common people, were you?" "I don't know what I was," Adelard replied, and in the next moment, to make himself visible, Armand began to cry loudly. "And why do children cry like that? Is that what he needs?" "Where can I buy milk around here?" "There's a store across the street."

Grim Reaper's Bride

Grim Reaper's Bride

He poured himself a cup of rose hip tea that I'd set to simmer on the counter. “Help yourself,” I said, a tad sardonic. “I've been putting it on like you said, a drop in the eye, each morning. But I've never seen anything in my house.” I paused. “Well, nothing malicious. There's this shriveled up brown man that comes out at night and cleans.” “The hobgoblin. Phil. He wants you to leave milk out for him.” “What?” “That's right. Chocolate milk. He's too kind to ask for anything, but I know the look in his eye. Land spirits love offerings, and they're starved enough as it is.”

On the Origin of Humanity

On the Origin of Humanity

"I'll be back very soon enough, and I don't want any of you freaks to be here when I arrive." Following John's last statements, he banged the main door, garnering a displeased yell from Carleen as he exited. Before everybody could drift back in, the door swung open again, revealing Mikaella and Ricky. She was holding a number of enormous ziplock bags, and he was holding a bucket of coolant that sloshed about. A white trickle flowed down both corners, and I knew it had to be homogenized milk, presumably milked only moments earlier from Lesley's cows. Strangely, the mere notion of a delicious glass of milk made my mouth swim. I'm not certain how fresh milk from the cow tastes in comparison to
