The Alpha’s Moonbreather
The ache in her chest was gone, her lungs no longer burned, and when she flexed her fingers, there was no tremor.
That unsettled her more than pain would have.
She swung her legs over the edge and stood.
The room opened outward into a vast sanctuary. Pillars carved from moonstone rose like frozen waves, their surfaces etched with symbols that pulsed softly as she moved past them. Water ran through narrow channels in the floor, shallow and clear, reflecting the ceiling above like a second sky.
Figures moved quietly through the space.
