Get on your knees now.” He ordered in a low and commanding tone. “No!” With that the light of the Bloodmoon turned to a darker shade of red. Like I had just angered it. I turned and stared up at the moon. Then a sharp pain shot through my chest. I gasped for air and clenched my chest before falling to my knees. The pain was nothing I had ever experienced before, it was like my body was on fire and that my skin was about to peel off.

Without thinking about myself, I jumped down from the podium and struck the death wraith with the Moon crest. It released Zira immediately and screamed. The light from the stone seemed to be burning it from the inside out. It thrashed around in an attempt to break free but the Moon crest held it captive. It ended up shrieking like that until it vanished into thin air and the Moon crest fell back into my hands.

I felt the itch on my body but I didn’t experience shifting during the blood moon. I finally found Alarick, who was still drinking his beer. “Alarick.” I tapped his shoulders as he is now immersed in the moon’s energy. “What is it?” I saw his eyes turn from bloody red to silver. He is absorbing the power of the moon. “Y-you need to see this.” I led the way and started running back to the cell. The wolf within me howled, but this time it wasn’t alone. It harmonized with the moon’s call.

Echoes of the Blood Moon The storm outside had subsided, yet within the Moon Temple, the atmosphere felt even more oppressive—saturated with whispers, ancient energy, and a foreboding that none of them completely comprehended. Luna stood at the heart of the chamber, her breathing slow but irregular as the crimson glow of the Blood Moon pulsed faintly beneath her skin. I raised my hand against the tidal wave splash of water, as Moon leaped out of the bath, then paraded go to me with his head high and his tail lifted.

I wait til I hear feel the cold air drifting into the kitchen and the soft sound of a door closing before glancing into the hallway again. Through the doors glass I could see Embers back to me. The left side of her body was eliminated white from the moon and her hair looked like silver threads as they hung down her back. Creeping towards the door she shifts and a second later a see a silvery gold wolf dashing across the snow, her body low as she ran.

I watched over her until her breathing softened, signaling that she'd fallen asleep. I reached for my phone and sent a text to Maren asking to meet up. "Good. I've been meaning to talk to you as well." she replied, "see you in an hour." she added. I wasn't sure if Kylie would be up in an hour, but I hoped whenever she did wake I would be here just as I said I would, and hopefully with answers too. "The night of a blood moon marks a convergence of different realms. If Damien is boasting of becoming powerful then, he must be planning on using the power that comes from such a convergence." Maren explained and handed Jason back his phone.
