The moon cast its silver light across the polished floor, illuminating the edges of the room in a soft, ghostly glow. Outside, Newhaven lay cloaked in darkness, its jagged skyline jagged and broken against the starless night. The city was a reflection of us all—fractured, scarred, yet still stubbornly standing. Each decision made in this compound could shape its future, and tonight, I felt the full burden of that responsibility.
