Killian's body flinched, as if that was the sound of his last shred of dignity hitting the floor. "I won't let ghosts from my past ruin my night." I said, dusting my hands and turning to leave, not even bothering to give him a second glance. He stood in the shadows, as insignificant as a speck of dust. Just then, a massive full moon rose over the terrace. Moonlight poured into the hall like water. Suddenly, a scorching power erupted from the depths of my bones, coursing through my entire body. "Freya?" Adrian noticed something was wrong and steadied me. "What's wrong? You're flushed."

Although, there was no sun here and I wondered how they indicated the right time to wake. The next day, we woke up and as expected, everywhere was still dark, but then, we were called out to a big field, where the moon was lit and we could see very well. It seems it's when the moon shines brightly that it is seen as daytime. There were about 50 people who were there and it was certain that more people would still fall into this trap, called ghost house. “To the newbies, we are going to explain things to make you understand better how things go on here.”

The atmosphere grew increasingly foreboding, and she had a sense that they were being watched. "We're getting close," Lukas whispered, his senses on high alert as he scanned their surroundings. What does she mean? Wouldn’t I be embarrassing myself by telling her these things? What would she think of me? “Do I really have to tell you that, Mother?” I asked, blush creeping onto my face as I felt slightly embarrassed.

On arrival, KuLaa cast a spell on the eyes of her crew and they were able to see that there were indeed ghosts who were taking care of the villa. Thanks to the spell, they were able to interact with the ghosts after their initial shock. Kurt explained to them that Mayel was indeed a ghost town and very friendly as long as one could see and interact with them, the crew relaxed. After everyone settled in, KuLaa brought Kurt and Ryan to a secret room where they accessed a tunnel that led to a dead-end through teleportation magic. Wondering if the magic had malfunctioned, KuLaa stopped and frowned. This had never happened before…

The moon rose blood-red above them all. And then Kate reached the Revenant. He stood calmly as the world burned around him. “Too late,” he said. “The veil is thin. The new world is already bleeding through.” Kate raised her blade — not at him, but at the pendant on her chest. The one Elias made. “You bound yourself to the Heart of the Moon,” she said. “But you forgot what happens when you sever a tether from both ends.” She plunged the blade into the pendant. A shockwave burst outward, sending both of them flying.

Leon panted, scanning the dim corridor as his breath came in uneven bursts. Suddenly, a faint figure emerged out of the shadows—the female ghost. Her face was blurred and indistinct, her presence otherworldly. She didn’t speak but raised a hand that glowed faintly blue, pointing silently in a specific direction. Leon froze, instinctively stepping back half a pace. But time was slipping through his fingers, and hesitation was a luxury he couldn’t afford. Clenching his jaw, he forced himself to follow the ghost’s lead.

And a bright beam, silver as the moon, shot from her palm, blasting right through the middle of the creature. “H-How…” Even though the light faded, her palms still glowed warmly. The shadow creature had been reduced to nothing. She could still feel the energy humming inside of her. She blasted the shadow monster with powerful magic, one that was similar to hers. It was here. Somewhere under the surface. Somewhere secret. Moon Magic.
