Declan’s POV Sleep didn’t come easy that night, the image of that little girl, Lunara, kept burning through my mind long after the lights at the Henss mansion went out. Her eyes. Moon could no longer see who it was but she could identify them by their voices. They had become faceless in her head. “I don’t know! I don’t know…” She responded desperately before she busted into tears, her shoulder shaking from the impact, and her chest felt like it was being squeezed by an invisible hand.

When the voice came again, I looked up at last and glared angrily at the insolent apparition before me, and I roared with all my might. This time, I finally heard my own voice. "I'm Isrina! Daughter of the moon god!" When the ghosts heard my roar, they sang, and made a shrill, frightened sound, like some strange hissing. There was a mixture of fear and alarm. "I, daughter of the moon god and descendant of the witches of the wolf clan, order you to return to the abyss! Go back!" Suddenly all the ghosts retreated, as if fleeing for their lives. The white flame ceased to burn, and I watched as my naked feet stepped on a cloud of ashes. A light breeze blew, and the ashes at the foot immediately
