Morally Gray Novels & Stories

"All of this because I saved your life?" "You saving my life is a big factor, yes. But also because in my 34 years of life I have never met someone who helped selflessly, I don't know one person in my life who doesn't have an agenda. Until you." I rubbed my eyes ,I was in such a haze. "How long would that time period be?" I didn't realise that question came out of my mouth before it was too late, it was like me accepting the deal. "How about a year?"

He got to the entrance and stood, not wanting Carl, Damon, and Kelvin to find out about Lucian and the other guys, or even about Willow's sudden health issues. With Gray still standing outside when Norman and Evelyn walked up to him, he shook his head, stared at them, and looked away. “Mr. Gray?” Norman called with a calm voice, staring at Gray. Gray hissed and walked away from them, not caring or wanting to hear whatever they had to say, as he doesn't actually care for it. Norman and Evelyn don't seem to know much about Gray. Going through the internet only showed them something and not all of it. Gray's ruthlessness is shown to anyone, whether Mafia or not; anyone who acts arrogantly arou

I asked. "Not necessarily. Like I said earlier, it depends on the shade of gray," she replied. "I've lived on this earth long enough to know there is more to this world than just good or evil and most times, we need the gray area. The gray area allows us to make mistakes, and realize and recover from those mistakes. Some people survive in the gray area and there's nothing wrong with that." “So when does it become a problem?” “It becomes a problem when innocent people are involved especially if you derive joy from hurting the said innocent people. If that’s the case, then there is nothing gray about it, that’s just pure black,” she said.

Aaron handed him a glass of golden-brown liquid, which was half way to the tippy top of the crystal glass. "Matinee..." He added as he noticed Adrian give the glass a disdain look, before looking up at him. "You also hate matinees?" "Also?" Adrian noticed his choice of words. "You appear unfazed by the relics and sentiments of this world –" Adrian raised a brow at him when he paused, which forced him to decide upon an explanation. "Dark... Cold... Rude... Antisocial! You appear to be someone who hates a awful lot of things."

I told him. Mom came forward. “Yes, Mr. Gray, it’s demeaning for a man of your status to have a relationship with these little swindlers. I was just about to call the authorities for what they did.” The atmosphere remained eerily quiet. Of course no one would dare say a word for fear of Oscar Gray. They weren’t sure whose side he was on, and they wouldn’t want to become his foe.

I don't care if anyone sees me or if I end up on the news my anger will never let this man go free. "Listen, dude, I didn't come here to play. I came here for answers. Now quit playing and tell me what being a grey wolf means." His smile isn't there anymore, he looks as confused as ever. "I'm not playing with you Chloe, you were born a grey werewolf. Your father was a grey werewolf, you're a grey werewolf. Grey werewolves are more powerful than regular werewolves, grey wolves are also the only breed of werewolves to not be controlled by the moon. You all can turn at will and it won't even hurt." He chuckles. "Y'all are lucky bastards."

Grayson says confidently. “You do know you sound like a kidnapper, right?” Malisha asks throwing a punch at him. “If only I could be as morally grey as the dark romance guys. I would throw you on my shoulders and go away,” Grayson says with a wolfish grin. Malisha’s heart beats faster at that, and she asks, “You do know if you try to put me on your shoulders, they might disappear, right?” “We’ll see about that.”

We smiled at her. All of us knew why Mrs. Graycort was adamant about us going to places in groups, and avoiding alcohol. Her dad is a recovered alcoholic. She used to joke that he came from a small drinking village in Alaska that had a huge fishing problem. He had decided to quit when her sister got hooked on the stuff. Apparently it was one of the things that drew Mr. Graycort to her at college. She was one of the few people “sober enough to see through his bullshit.” “We know you love us and want us safe, Mrs. Graycort,” I said, “and we love you enough not to disrespect your wishes.”

I lowered my gaze and felt the emotion strike me in the gut. “The world isn’t black-and-white. Not all criminals are evil, and not all law-abiding citizens are good. There’s so much gray area there. You’ve been living in that shade for a long time, so you understand exactly what I mean. Your family may be laundering money and facilitating criminal meetings and the drug trade, but that doesn’t make them bad people.” “Wow…that’s rich.”

“I curse every single second of the three years I spent pulling double factory shifts in the Oakhaven slums to support your worthless life while you lied straight to my face about who you were. You are a monster.” Gray smirked, the corner of his lips wrinkling into a slow, dark expression of pure, calculating amusement as he looked down at my flushed cheeks, his eyes scanning the plunging line of my dress with a proprietary intensity that made my skin crawl. He didn't look remorseful. He didn't care about the pain he had branded into my spirit.
