Stealing Alpha's Heart

Stealing Alpha's Heart

Grey followed me and stripped off his sandals, dipping his feet in the water along with me. "Pretty cruel incident," I retorted, sticking my feet in the water and lightly swishing them around like I had before. Grey was silent for a moment before responding, very, very slowly, "You know, I keep saying it, but I'm really sorry about what happened. I know what I did was wrong and I have no excuse, but that doesn't mean I'm not trying to make it right." "I don't know how you could justify rape," I said, raising a brow skeptically, "I mean, not even an Alpha could make that look good. On the other hand, though, you still have a squeaky clean record after trying to lower the required age for offi

Together, Forever

Together, Forever

Grey stopped in sniffing and looked at his father. "Grey that was the reason we came here, to see how cruel humans are when they notice who we are," he sighed. "But why? We are also humans, half-humans... What's the difference?" he said. Choven held his shoulders, "Grey, that's our thoughts, but when it comes to humans... they have their own perspectives about our kinds. They only see us like a beast, Grey. They will only use us to gain more money and power. That's why you should never trust a human, no matter how kind they treat you," he said.

The Half Blood Luna

The Half Blood Luna

“See? Your heart can’t even withstand my words or comprehend what I have been through all these years. If you cannot bear to hear what my life has been like, how do you expect me to just move on and forget what happened like I never lived it? Grey vowed to make everyone miserable, but somehow, I ended up paying the highest price. You had each other, you, Sara, Kate, and Klaus. You had so many years together before she died. You were all living together in complete bliss. You had twenty four years worth of memories to get you through her loss, through her absence. HE REJECTED ME AT THE ALTER

HE REJECTED ME AT THE ALTER

It starts the way the body always announces its arrears — quietly, at first, in a register so low you can talk yourself out of hearing it. A heaviness that is not tiredness. A grey quality to mornings that have no reason to be grey — mornings with good coffee and Rael at the table and Delara's light coming through the tea house windows at the right angle. The grey is not in the mornings. The grey is in me, and it has been there long enough that I have stopped noticing it the way you stop noticing a sound that has been playing in the background of a room for too long.

Contract With Big Brother-in-law

“I’m not giving you anyone. In fact, you’re going to remain here until I figure out what to do with you.” Gray cocked his head. “Are you going to kill me, then?” Nicholas bristled. “I’d rather not stoop to your level, but don’t go putting any ideas into my head.” Gray scoffed. “This is why I didn’t want you on the guild, you know. Your bleeding heart won’t do any good for our society—we need people in power who are sometimes willing to do bad things for the sake of the greater good. Something that you’re clearly incapable of.”

"Wow, what a charmed life she’s living—pain, suffering, heartbreak—she’s got the full package! It’s almost like the author’s personal mission was to make sure the heroine never experiences a single moment of joy. Truly inspiring.,.. very disappointing this one is really exhausting to read

Let me first say that this author has kept me coming back to read the rest of the story. However, poor Kayla… can’t she catch a break? This is one of the better books I’ve read on here, but I’m starting to get frustrated by the 2 steps forward with Nicholas and Kayla for them to take 10 steps back.
