Grey froze, caught between discomfort and confusion, while their friends paid no attention, already used to their constant quarrels.
“Silence means big,” Black teased again.
Grey quickly snapped back, pulled his hand away, and hit him.
“You’re too much,” Grey muttered. He stood and stormed off to the bathroom. There, he turned on the faucet, about to grab some soap, but paused. Instead, he stared at his hand and let out a conflicted smile. A wave of confusion washed over him—he should have been angry, not amused. He shook his head.
“Yuck!” Grey exclaimed loudly, finally washing his hands with soap. Looking at himself in the mirror, he whispered, “What’s happening to you?”
