The Peculiar Morass

The Peculiar Morass

"What will happen if we die for the third time?" A moment of silence filled the entire room. They are both clueless about what tomorrow may bring. "I-I don't know. I still haven't figured it out." She placed her palm on his forehead. "We need to figure it out. By the way, I found an interesting book and I had it with me, you should read it too," says Joshua. They heard the clicking of the door in the janitors' room. A middle-aged man wearing a gray uniform and holding a map entered the room.

Just let me be a cannon fodder

Just let me be a cannon fodder

Chapter 16 - blacklisted "Ah! A classic. The green book written by Henry Welsh? Ah, I remember that guy, I still feel sad about what happened to him." The old janitor sighed as if he was at a loss. He was talking about the book as if it was a golden classic. "Wait, you know the book?" I was shocked momentarily, I searched for the title for hours without finding anything. Who would've thought that I could just ask an old man?

Rejected By My Mate, I Returned As Alpha Queen

Rejected By My Mate, I Returned As Alpha Queen

Grey exhaled, stepping closer. “This is madness Alpha! You know this!” Damien finally turned. “Maybe it is. But it is necessary.” Grey stepped farther inside, shutting the door behind him. “You found an old book about something and now you ride into an unknown forest chasing ghosts.” “They are not ghosts.” “It could be a trap.. a lure.” “Either way… they are enemies and I have to deal with them...” Grey’s frustration grew more, seeing how Damein was being right now… Once he had his mind set on something, there was hardly swaying him.

Till Time Do Us Part

Till Time Do Us Part

The deep-voiced man seemed hesitant with his words. “What?” “I got a kid, man. She means the world to me. I’m not really on board with this trafficking thing.” “Oh?” thought Gray to herself. And while listening in on them, she named the hoarse-voice man Evil and the other man Half-evil. Evil sneered. “You gettin’ cold feet now? We smuggled drugs and bombs, robbed banks, counterfeited and laundered money. We even trafficked women before. You still tryna be a saint, man?”

Dying As Guard, Awakening As Bride

Dying As Guard, Awakening As Bride

Regardless, nobody knew who this mysterious man was, and as a result, nobody had the courage to approach him. Meanwhile, Gray disregarded the attention he received. He has only one reason for showing himself to the public, and that's to find Mr. Emmanuel Red. "It's a good thing that I couldn't see Martin around. But where is Mr. Red?" Gray murmured while looking around. "Hello," two beautiful and hot women approached Gray. Gray flashed a charming smile as he raised his glass. "Evening, ladies," he greeted, his voice dripping with suave. He planted a gentle kiss on the back of their hands, causing them to giggle or nibble on their lower lips.

The book is well-made. The plot is insane and as a fan of isekai, I enjoyed reading it. I love how the author convey the emotions of each the character. When I am reading other books, the characters just shout at each other and they don’t even explain the emotions they were feeling.

I love that the plot is fast pace but the emotions aren not. I am so tired reading books with unreasonable characters who always act impulsively. But the author of this book really conveys the character so well. If I finish this, I would like to read her other books. Thank you so much.

She Runs with Wolves

She Runs with Wolves

Grandma Rosie said, eyeing each of us in turn, “there is balance in everything, a firm, solid dichotomy. Black and white, dark and light, above and below, and so on. Our world is truly split, like the yin and the yang. Even within humanity the lines between good and evil are so skewed that, should a compass of morality truly exist, it wouldn’t know which way to point its own needle. “Think of our world as the middle. We are the grey, the blur between black and white. Ellis and Kathrena here are proof that vampires can be good, and just of heart, and kind of soul.” I smiled to myself, a little swell of pride rippling through my chest. Skye squeezed my hand. Maybe he was proud of me, too.

Such an exciting read so far! I am enjoying getting to know our main characters and discovering how their lives have come together while trying to anticipate what might happen next as each chapter is released. Having just finished the entirety of The Beta’s Daughter, this author is an amazing writer
Susan
A fantastic second novel, with a refreshingly different tone from the previous entry. The mythologies in this are very well developed and I am very excited to see how the story unfolds! The protagonist and her love interest and very engaging too and I am rooting hard for them!

ACCIDENTALLY OURS

ACCIDENTALLY OURS

[This chapter leans into the darker side of my main character. He's morally grey, fiercely possessive, and makes choices that aren't meant to be justified or admired. Some scenes and themes may be unsettling for some readers. As always, this is a work of fiction, created for entertainment, and the characters' actions do not reflect the author's beliefs. Read at your own discretion.] >>>•>>>•>>> Malik’s POV I rushed into the infirmary, barely able to breathe.

COLD COMMAND- The Secret Son

COLD COMMAND- The Secret Son

I asked, leaning against the warm metal of the truck. "When I can find something that isn't soaked in oil," he said, his jaw tightening. "My old man thinks books are for the weak. He'd rather spend the coin on whiskey." I couldn't wrap my head around that. In my house, books were life. I’d been reading since I was four, hiding in the library to escape the pitying looks of the warriors. I couldn't imagine a world where words were a waste of time. Grayson stood up, wiping his hands on a greasy rag. The air between us suddenly felt thick, charged with something I didn't understand.

MY BROTHER-IN-LAW IS OBSESSED WITH ME

MY BROTHER-IN-LAW IS OBSESSED WITH ME

“You’re ruining marinara for me forever.” I could have told her the truth: Grayson doesn’t kill for kicks the way Caisen sometimes does, like violence is a language he enjoys speaking. Grayson’s a math problem with a pulse. If he draws blood, it’s because he’s already calculated three futures where mercy costs more. He’s not kind; he’s efficient. The city calls it monstrous because it keeps them safer than admitting they need him. But saying that out loud would be admitting I knew the temperature of his thoughts. So I exhaled through a smile. “People love ghost stories. Makes them feel important.”

REBORN: CLAIMED BY MY MATE’S BROTHER

REBORN: CLAIMED BY MY MATE’S BROTHER

"Excuse me?" Grey took a step forward, stepping out of the shadow as he glared at me. "I said you look pathetic," he repeated, walking toward me with a predatory grace. "Walking around my palace, humming like a schoolgirl, grinning at the walls. It’s nauseating." "It’s called happiness, Grey," I said, my voice sharp. "I know it’s a foreign concept to you, like mercy or loyalty, but some of us are capable of feeling it."
