The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha

The Omega and The Arrogant Alpha

I cook badly. Not inedible. Just rushed. I overcook the rice until it clumps instead of fluffing. I under-season everything else. I know I am doing it wrong and do not stop. There is something defiant in that too. Morgan pretends not to notice. She eats like someone who learned long ago not to expect pleasure from meals. Fuel first. Comfort optional. She chews carefully, methodically, like food is a task rather than a reward.

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Satisfying Her Darkest Fantasies

Really, she didn’t. With shaking hands, Morgan grabbed Jack’s robe. She belted the enormous thing around her waist, put on the sweatsocks that were double the size of her feet and marched to the eat-in kitchen’s bleached wood table, hoping she looked frumpy. When she reached the kitchen, she saw that Jack had laid out some thick soup that had an orangish base with lots of rice and chunks of meat, his aunt’s homemade bread and a slab of butter. A small salad sat in another bowl. A big glass of ice water sat above her silverware.

R Hoover
As I look at my year in review, this author and book collection has been monumental in reigniting my hunger for reading. I can't track most of the books from this app easily for my year end count but in my heart this book means the most. I wish I could buy a printed version of each of these. .........

Only up to the first 3 stories...and I loved them! I wondered why the book was so big but it's broken down with several stories so when I get time, I'll read them accordingly. Pretty well written/edited and certain to make you desire more than you can handle.

Morrigan

Morrigan

“Thank you, Your Majesty…” An elder bowed his head as he received a bag of food and clothes that Morrigan personally handed him. Morrigan’s heart sank as she watches these elders from the borders that braved the unbearable heat just to have food that will fill their stomachs and water that will quench their thirst. They didn't mind how frail their bodies are right now because of the drought that hit them. She couldn't help but bit the insides of her cheeks as she studies the situation at the border. "What we brought is barely enough," she muttered under her breath. Even with the objection of some ministers, Morrigan decided to use the stocked up food from the granary to answer the relief ope

The After Rebirth: Mr. Blackstorm's Beautiful Wife

The After Rebirth: Mr. Blackstorm's Beautiful Wife

Ashley sent a spoonful of rice porridge to Morgan's mouth, but he looked down, frowned slightly, and said with disgust, "It's too hot." The hand holding the spoon paused, Ashley couldn't help but roll her eyes. In her heart, there are so many problems. She patiently blew on the porridge, and then passed it over again. Morgan opened his mouth to eat it this time, but immediately said, "Ashley, are you sure what you cooked is porridge?" Ashley was stunned. "What is it if it's not porridge?" Morgan picked up a spoon and scooped it up into the bowl. "You clearly boil water with rice grains, and I can even count them one by one. Is this also called porridge?"

The Peculiar Morass

The Peculiar Morass

"Good morning, Ms. Ahri Hauntsen." Ahri smiled and replied, "Good morning children, today is my last day as your volunteer teacher. I have prepared a good story for you." The children clapped their hands while going back to their seats. Ahri opened the book entitled Peculiar Morass. She cleared her throat before starting to narrate. "Once upon a time there were two people who were cursed to hate each other. They are bound to be reincarnated again and again." "Why are they cursed, anyway?" The kid with a pigtail interrupted.
