Zander growled, dragging us back to the fight.
Koa launched forward, fury embodied. Zander charged too, but too slow.
We twisted, jaws snapping closed around his throat. His roar of pain was guttural, animal. He clawed at us, but Koa's hold tightened. Blood filled the air, hot and metallic. With a brutal jerk, Koa flung him across the clearing.
