Mother Novels Novels & Stories

My mother, Sophie Nash, was also my homeroom teacher, and she loved nothing more than using me to assert her authority. She was convinced that the worse off I was, the more afraid my classmates would be, and the higher her authority would be. Once, when I passed an eraser to a classmate during class, she slapped me so hard across the face in front of the whole class that my face swelled up. Another time, after I secretly ate a crumb of a classmate’s snack during recess, my mom dragged me up to the front of the classroom and pricked my lip with a needle until blood gushed out. Later, when a classmate was caught by the vice principal for having a romantic relationship while underaged, my m

Mom was in a rather youthful attire, wearing a pair of high-waisted hot pants today. Despite being in her forties, Mom still had the body of a 20-year-old, probably because she only had me. She exuded the charm of a mature lady. That was probably why Bryan screwed her. “I need a word with you, Carys,” Mom uttered out of the blue. I was still shell-shocked by it all. She took a glance at Bryan. “I’m pregnant.” I dropped my plate with a plop. Getting down to the floor, I immediately picked up the broken shards while my mind replayed what Mom had just said.

Mom is a twice-widowed middle-aged woman who is 5'4" tall. She is petite, but her figure is nicely rounded in all the best ways. Her breasts are a little big for her small frame, but that just makes them seem that much more alluring. Her hips are slightly spread, giving her a set of wide hips. This gives her a pleasing hourglass figure with a small waist but hardly thin. After having five sons, it's not surprising that she would have some lasting effects on her body, but Mom is far from fat, maybe what they used to call Rubenesque. Her blonde hair is cut short but styled with a cute perm, giving her a pixie-ish look. Her piercing blue eyes never miss a thing. After two husbands and five misc

Mother White. It made sense somehow that she would be the one summoning her to come here, presenting her with her imminent death. The woman had affected her the very first time she saw her in a way Rain had never experienced before. Back then, the Military Mothers always made her nervous. They were so powerful and had such a hard look about them like they had no souls. Maybe they didn’t. Amongst the lot of them, this one had always been the scariest of all in Rain’s book. She remembered that time right before the Rebellion when she’d seen Mother White in the hallway and had instantly felt a wave of terror go down her spine. If she’d ever seen the woman before then, she couldn’t remember her.

She refused to eat her meals and cursed her anytime she saw her. "Barren woman," Mama shouted and hissed anytime Sarah passed her. "You want to turn my son against me. It will not be well with you." "Give my son a child, make me a grandmother," Mama shouted, clapping her hands as she spoke. "You have killed your parents and now you want to kill me." Sarah cried privately, never allowing her husband or mama to see her tears. When she brought mama's food to her she pushed the platter away causing the food to spill on the floor.

“I used to go to Ladies Club at the church with your mama. She always raised the prettiest daffodils. But I can believe standing here that the best thing she raised was you. I want my son to be happy, Sarah Jo. He’s the most loyal, hardest working boy I ever knew, and he’ll be a good husband to you. Don’t look so surprised. You can’t think he doesn’t mean to marry you after all this. That boy hasn’t had on a jacket and tie in I can’t tell you when. And I’ll tell you one more thing if you won’t repeat it to my husband. I want some grandbabies to rock. And I don’t give a damn what side of the blanket they’re born on. If you were pregnant, I’d start knitting booties and brag to all my friends t

I answer the call and place the phone against my ear. “Hi, Miss Mary.” Matron Mary is the head of nurses in my place of work. She has been a nurse for thirty years and she has been my mentor. It's rumored that she has magic fingers that heals clients with ease. “Hello, my darling, how are you doing?” Nurse Mary asks. “I'm fine, Miss Mary.” I smile. She is talking about how well I am holding up with my mother's demise. “How is the little one doing?” She asks.

“Mama, please, you know the pack comes first.” She whirled on me, snarling as she fought her own wolf. “Aren’t you the one who extols happy pack members as the most useful ones? How good of an Alpha will you be if you sacrifice your mateship like this?” I didn’t answer. I didn’t have anything to say. My mother sniffed, having to get in one last, final jab. “I did not cross the ocean to be replaced as Matron by some little bitch so my son could be miserable. Just because it’s easy, doesn’t mean it’s right.”

Mom's words hold immense weight, but she only speaks one sentence each month. When a bankrupt businessman begs for her blessing, his life turns around the next day. When a childless tycoon begs her to bless him with a child, his wife is pregnant before a month has passed. But all my life, she has never spoken a complete sentence to me. When it was time to choose which university to apply to, Mom merely shook her head. "If you apply…" Her unfinished sentence kept me awake all night. I took her meaning the wrong way, and in the end, I lost the university I had dreamed about getting into for ten years. Then, my younger sister, who had scored less than me, somehow snagged a spot there. Yet, sh

Noah I pushed open the door to my mother's house, feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders. The familiar scent of home, a blend of lavender and freshly baked cookies, greeted me as I stepped inside. I could hear the soft hum of the television from the living room, where Mom was undoubtedly watching one of her favorite shows. I kicked off my shoes, my feet aching from the long day, and made my way to the couch. As I slumped onto it, the cushions enveloped me in a comforting embrace, but even their softness couldn't ease the tension knotted in my muscles.
