She dabbed the corner of her eyes with a handkerchief and weeps softly and dad places his arm around her shoulder. My mother has always been emotional especially during my birthdays it always ended in tears. She called them tears of joy. Because each year I was still alive celebrating my birthday while many kids were in their sick beds,on the streets, hospitals,orphanages and some of them died along the way. She walked to Joy's room and knocked before entering. "Undress yourself,come and bathe." In Africa,if a woman gives birth or looses her child, an elderly woman bathes her. The rhythm sparked a surge of joy within me, and I couldn't resist breaking into a dance, swirling and moving freely as if the world outside had faded away.
