Ignite me (A collection of Short Stories)
I drop my bag and start unpacking while Jane flops onto the mattress, kicking off her nice flip flops.
"So, what's new with you? Still buried in psych books?" she asks.
"Yeah, endless papers on motivation and behavior." I fold a shirt, avoiding her eyes. "It's fascinating, though. Figuring out why people do what they do."
Jane grins when I look at her. "Analyze me, then. Why do I keep dating losers?" She groans.
"Self-sabotage? Or bad luck," I say, winking at her.
We both laugh. Jane is the bold one, always dragging me to parties or setting me up. Me? I prefer observing from the sidelines, perfect for a psych major.
