I finished with my secondary education, i had to proceed to the university to further my studies cause my dream had always been to become a Doctor. I always knew that after I graduate in the university I will go for my masters degree program in abroad. After I completed my secondary education, I started making plans to proceed to the university. But shockingly my father said that he has no money for me to further my studies. I was in shock because we are not poor nor very rich. I am from a moderate family that could afford for me to study at any institute of my choice. So I was shock when my father said he had no money for me to go to the university.

This journey of writing has been a voyage of self-discovery, where I have learned as much about myself as I have about the craft of storytelling. Whether through the written word, oral tradition, or digital mediums, stories connect us, inspire us, and challenge us to grow. It is my hope that my words will find a resonance with readers, that they will evoke emotions, provoke thoughts, and spark conversations.

She finished underlining a sentence, then met the older woman’s eyes. “They’re my best Literature students. They’re preparing for WAEC mocks. I give them extra time when they ask.” Mrs. Okeke nodded slowly. “Of course. Dedication is good. But every day after school, door locked, blinds down. And yesterday after the bell you were still there with them for quite a while.” Adeyemi set her pen down. “We were discussing character motivation in Things Fall Apart. It ran over. Natawa ako nang mahina para huwag magising ang librarian. Hindi na ako pumunta sa ceremony. Mula sa reaksyon ng mga old students, parang boring nga talaga iyon. 'Tsaka hindi ko naman kailangan ng motivation dahil kaya ko naman kahit wala nang ganoon. Gagalingan ko lang at gagamitan ng utak ay malaki na ang scores ko sa mga quizzes ar tests. Dagdag pa sa mga recitation na parati ko namang nasasagot. Para sa mga mahihina lang naman ang motivation at hindi naman ako mahina. My performance was based on my hardwork and skills, not from their encouragement.
