I grabbed one, felt the weight settle in my arms like judgment. “Diamonds secured!” I barked. “Now the hostages, move!” That’s when the screaming started. We kicked in the holding-cell door and froze. Twelve Feathers on their knees in a circle, chains snapped, veins black and pulsing under their skin, eyes rolled back to nothing but whites. One of them, Rabbit, little Rabbit who used to beg for extra dessert, snapped his head toward us and snarled like a dog. “Tranqs!” Reaper yelled, fumbling for the darts.

Noah exaggerated my love for my favorite food. "Oh, please. I'm not overly obsessed or addicted to it. It's just a favorite snack." I corrected him, trying to snake away the drink from his well-built hands. "Not happening on my watch, Miss Millie." He smiled, putting away the drink on the top shelf and chuckling over the short height I was bestowed upon with. I groaned, looking around for a 2-step ladder for the later use but it was invisible from my eyes. "Miss Millie? Did you forget I'm Mrs. Millie now?" I retaliated.

Just as I was reaching for my towel, my phone buzzed on the counter. Millie: I’m on my way to the Harrigan mansion! Be ready, bestie. We’ve got a semester to slay. I couldn’t help but grin. Leave it to Millie to brighten my cloudy world. Me: You ready to step into enemy territory? Her reply came almost right away. Millie: Please, I’ll bring holy water if I have to. Just be cute when I get there. Laughing softly, I slipped my phone into my pocket and finished getting dressed.

Listening to her Riley kept silent, staring suspiciously at Milky who was only a year younger than her. She could not forget that back when she slit her wrists, lying in that tub filled with hot water, she lost so much blood she could not even move. Even so, Milly did not inform the doctor or even Xavier she just seat there waiting for her to die if not then Xavier had suddenly returned and suspected something was wrong, kicking the door down and carrying her out from that blood-filled tub, she probably would not have lived to obtain the divorce papers that she was foolishly fighting for.

I looked over to my mum and the girls discussing animatedly with Luca having his afternoon nap on mum's lap. Because this one here is a child trapped in a man's body. "Hey that was mean" "Yeah right " Damien rolled his eyes a t his uncle. "You guys could just hang out with him if you don't want him to keep whining like a brat". "See, even your nephew thinks you're a brat now stop with the whining. Anna said glaring at Mikey making him pout. I rolled my eyes at his antics.

“Tomorrow the Terrible Two-Some of Sick and Misk will be back on the case, killin’ hoes and mo-fos in their sleep. The Killer Sisters are back, girlfriend!” Despite myself, I smile and return Mary Sue’s proffered high-five. No matter how much I try, I never seem able to hate her for very long.

“Jessica?” The girl grabbed her hand tight, pulling her to the side of the street. “We need to talk,” Jessica told her firmly. “I can’t trust you,” Millie said bluntly. “I guess I’ll have to do this the hard way, then.” Jessica covered Millie’s mouth with a handkerchief poured with ammonia, causing the latter to faint. ***
