The Bossy Billionaire

t be surprised if you told me next that you are in love with him! Darcy looked away “That wouldn't do me any good,” she said truthfully as no matter what she could never dream of showing her feelings for him as their relationship was just based on the business transaction but at least they were friends now even if she felt awkward whenever she met him. “Darcy, look at me,” he pleaded, shedding some anger, “you know I have asked you to marry me before, this is serious now. I don't have my company to offer you any more as my sister because of her foolishness made us fall but Harris has seen to it that he destroyed our image beyond repair! Love To Hate My Stepbrother

Love To Hate My Stepbrother

Lorenzo is practically bouncing as he watches me tilt the ring. On the insides, engraved on it are the words, 'Allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you.' It's Mr. Darcy's first proposal to Elizabeth. "Lorenzo," I whisper, dropping the ring back into the box and scared out of my mind. "Why did you get me a ring?"

My Billionaire Ex's Biggest Regret

My Billionaire Ex's Biggest Regret

He looked at Darcy, then smiled, the expression sour and reckless. “Hello, Sean,” Darcy said quietly, leaning against the closed door. Sean eyed him with a mix of caution and rudeness. “What do you want now?” Darcy studied him—the bruises, the sneer, the restless energy of a man who thought survival was his birthright. “I’ve decided to make you a proposition.” Sean swung his legs off the bunk, stretching as if the room were his. “Yeah? Well, okay. But it’ll cost you plenty.”

MAKE YOU MINE

MAKE YOU MINE

“You don’t have to continue to sell me on the offer, Kelly. I’ve been following Darcy Enterprises success for a long time. And I’m honored that you came to speak to me about it. There’s no way I would turn down this opportunity.” "I'm really glad to hear you say that" Kelly said. "Come on, Kelly let’s dance,” Felix said. He plucked the glass from her fingers and placed it, with his own, on the next tray to pass them. He was taking her hand before Kelly could cordially turn down his offer and in seconds she found herself on the dance floor.

The Billionaire's Proposal

The Billionaire's Proposal

Dressed in a well-tailored black suit, he held a majestic bouquet of long-stemmed red roses, his eyes shining with adoration. Behind him, a dazzling display towered above, the words “WILL YOU MARRY ME AGAIN?” emblazoned in lights that seemed to dance across the darkness. I felt like I’d been punched in the gut, as my heart raced with anticipation. Sorin’s gentle voice cut through my stunned silence. “Come on in,” He softly urged, a tender smile plastered on his lips. I carefully walked towards him, my legs trembling beneath me. He handed me the bouquet. The scent of roses enveloped my nostrils and my tears overflowed.

The Dreaded Proposal

The Dreaded Proposal

A lot of people actually approached them in attempt to kiss him up but he shooed them when they stared excessively at his wife. The man who was approaching them had his hair styled neatly and was wearing a tuxedo. His partner was a tall elegant lady whose hair was flowing gracefully behind her. She wore a short light pink gown exuding youthfulness and innocence. “Quinn Winters!” He said extending his hand for an handshake. The main gazed at his hand then back at his face. He nodded, receiving his handshake. “ You already know who I am. I won't go through that formality. ”

A Scandalous Marriage Deal With Mr Manchester

A Scandalous Marriage Deal With Mr Manchester

That said, I squeeze the document into a ball. “What do you think you’re doing?” Rain bellows, his formidable frame towering over mine. “I will agree to all your conditions as long as you agree to mine.” His expression shifts. With eyes narrowed into slits, he asks. “What are your conditions?" “That you become the rightful heir of the Manchester empire within our marriage year.” For the first time since he walked in, I see a crack in his icy mask. Genuine surprise mixed with a trace of suspicion. “Why would you want that?”

he said again, looking around to see that there was already a woman well into her fifties, watching them curiously. It must have been quite a sight, him in his Armani suit, with his shoes polished, leaning back on the hinge, trying to convince Melody to let him pass. “But you’re leaving for good,” she agreed, making way for him. “I don’t think so,” he commented as he walked in. “I have something to propose you and I don’t know if you want me to leave right away.”

The Baron's Cold Proposal

The Baron's Cold Proposal

He stared into the dark mahogany table and took a deep breath. “I am assuming he told you his inheritance was for the sum of one hundred thousand pounds before you let him gamble well beyond those means?” Milo did not react but coolly replied, “The Gilded Falcon is an elite establishment frequented by the cream of society. Oliver has not been conned. He agreed amiably to the terms, including my management of his account.” “What of this marriage, who is he intending to ask?” Lord Dacre boomed. “I believe to Miss Thornfield, the gardener woman, this should be a straightforward arrangement given an appropriate amount of time.”

A wonderful story full of characters you love to love and ĺove to hate. I echo the sentiments around the ending but I'm relieved at the lack if true redemption arc (told you - characters you love to hate!)

Warning ends with a .... cliffhanger with no sequel. Great book overall by a talented author. I recommend it, and the cliffhanger doesn't ruin the book. It honestly do with a round of editing for character names being mixed up. This is one of the author's earlier books and is worth the read!

Mafia's Marriage Contract

Mafia's Marriage Contract

Scarlett stops the car in front of the office complex. She heads into the premises and goes straight to the fifth floor. Stopping in front of one of the private offices, she knocks on the door. “Come in,” a waspy voice comes from within. She enters the office to find a man in his sixties, poring over a bunch of documents. His gray eyes looked up and he smiled at her. “Miss D’arcy!” He greets. “Or rather, I should address you as Mrs. Rochester.”

I usually don’t read mafia type stories but I thought I’d give this a go since I love the writers fantasy books. This book has a very interesting twist on the Cinderella story. It’s intriguing and it leaves you wanting more! Can’t wait to see how it plays out!

Frequently Asked Questions

Darcy's first proposal in 'Pride and Prejudice' is such a pivotal moment—it's like the emotional earthquake that reshapes the entire story. Up until that point, Elizabeth Bennet sees him as this arrogant, cold figure, and Darcy’s sudden declaration of love completely blindsides her. The way he delivers it, though, is a mess. He spends half the time insulting her family and social standing, which obviously doesn’t win her over. It’s this raw, unfiltered clash of pride and prejudice (literally), and Elizabeth’s rejection forces Darcy to confront his own flaws. The proposal isn’t just a romantic misstep; it’s the catalyst for his growth. Without that humiliating moment, he’d never have reevaluated himself or later worked to become someone worthy of her.

What’s fascinating is how this scene also hardens Elizabeth’s resolve. She’s already wary of Darcy, but his condescending tone and the bombshell about interfering with Jane and Bingley’s relationship solidify her disdain. Yet, it’s also the first time she hears his unfiltered perspective, planting seeds for her later self-reflection. The proposal’s fallout lingers—it’s why she’s so shocked when she later sees the softer, more considerate side of him at Pemberley. That initial disaster sets up everything: the misunderstandings, the personal transformations, and ultimately, the second (way better) proposal. It’s a masterclass in how one awkward, emotional outburst can rewrite two people’s lives.
