Maria

Maria

Oh, the foolish things sentiments made us do. "There's somewhere I have to be, I just uh...came here to be sure of what I saw on the internet," she dabbed the corner of her eyes with the hem of her royal blue, deep V-cut dress. "I'd be back soon to catch up on all the details and I'd most assuredly invite you to dinner sometime soon. It's just so hard to believe Jackson now has someone- " her voice broke as she spoke. Mrs. Jones cleared her throat and gave Maria one last adoring gaze, something about the way she looked made Maria feel warm.

Maria Rodriguez

Maria Rodriguez

The name that sent shivers down men's spine in my world. I was young, rich, beautiful, and successful. Everything anybody could ever wish for. Being the CEO at 26 had created so many opportunities for me and now I was leading the most successful company in the world. “Ah, Maria. Nice to meet you” An old man who I immediately recalled as Mr Lionel from old family dinners greeted me as he bowed slightly. I immediately returned the gesture and straightened up to see him looking around. “Ah, where's Allen?” The man's eyes scanned around the room, looking for him.

I Hope You Will Never Regret

I Hope You Will Never Regret

Xavier looked at her and sneered, "Are you sure that Mrs Martins took care of my wife when she needed her the most? Because I heard that the three of them tried to kill my wife when she was helpless." Mrs Martins felt humiliated and embarrassed. She wished the ground could swallow her up. Her hatred towards Avery was deep. She wouldn't stop until she destroyed her with her bare hands.

The Unwanted Wife's Return (Ex-Husband Wants Me Back)

The Unwanted Wife's Return (Ex-Husband Wants Me Back)

She inhaled deeply. “This is going to fix things,” she whispered to herself. “They need to understand.” The front door opened before she even reached it. Mrs. Martinez stood there. Tall, dignified, dressed in a silk blouse and tailored slacks, she looked like a woman who rarely raised her voice but had no problem shutting someone down when necessary. Her expression was unreadable and Janet didn’t like it one bit. “Janet.” She said the name like it was thin ice under her shoes. “Come in.”

Fated To The Evil Viking

Fated To The Evil Viking

I turn white with fear when I see the person pushing the heavy-laden cart is Martha, the only person that loves and cares for me in this world. Martha is of African-American descent. The seventy-six-year-old maid has been asked to retire due to a hip injury that happened as a result of a bad fall but she outrightly refused to because of me. She was afraid I would one day be beaten to death if she was no longer around to watch over me and plead on my behalf

he muttered, already making his way toward the office. Maurice bit back a laugh as he followed, closing the door behind them. Inside the study, Martin was trying, and failing, to look focused as he flipped through a pile of documents. “That girl…” he began slowly, glancing toward the door as if Gina might burst in at any moment. “That woman, don’t you think she’s a little_uh_intense, more like... strange?” Maurice looked up, one eyebrow raised. “Who?” “Mia’s friend. Gina. Martin frowned, gesturing vaguely toward the door.

THE RELUCTANT MRS. ROWE

THE RELUCTANT MRS. ROWE

Sloane She talked for an hour and forty minutes. I did not interrupt once. Margaret Rowe was not a woman who told a story inefficiently. She gave me the relevant information in the right order without digression or emotional editorializing. Just the facts assembled with the precision of someone who had been organizing her understanding of a situation for twenty years and was now delivering it to the person who needed it most.

I am Mrs. Ballmer

I am Mrs. Ballmer

Full of self-confidence, Marlene looked at the saleswoman and snapped her fingers. “Miss, now that the charade is over, you can give me the clothes. I'll pay cash.” “Yes, ma'am!” The saleswoman, relieved to be rid of the ‘poor’ customer, tried to pull the suit from Helena's hands. But Helena held on tight. She didn't let go. “What are you doing?” Marlene shouted, outraged. “You don't have any money, and now you're trying to rob me? Let go of that!” Do you think you're still in your village where you trade chickens for clothes?“

Mrs. Martinelli The Perfect Mafia Wife

Mrs. Martinelli The Perfect Mafia Wife

It’s funny how he quickly rolled down his brave facade now that the tables have turned. “It’s him, not you,” I repeated my words from before. He opened his mouth, ready to argue, but I shook my head. “Never believe something unless you see the proof with your own eyes; that was your first mistake. You hesitated when I asked you. The second one is for you to label me as a Suarez,” I spat. “I never was and never will be part of your family.” Fear crosses his face as he realizes my intent. “I am Mrs. Martinelli,” I smirked, raised my gun, and squeezed the trigger before he could spit more lies. Wide-eyed, a bullet hole between his eyes, he took his last breath. “Remember that, amigo.”

I thouroughly enjoyed the book. It exceeded my expectations. I love all the 3 books but this story is by far the best. Klaus and Rylee are such a great pair - a mafia man and an assassin- what a badass story. Laughed and cried and enjoyed the sexcapades. ......

Another great book by this author. I enjoyed reading the first two books (Devin and Ethan). Loved this story with Klaus and Rylee. Had my heart beating so quickly at times. Felt their heartache when they had trouble getting pregnant, and was glad they were finally blessed.
