Novel & Cerita Munro Leaf Books

It wasn't until she noticed the strange book tucked away in the corner that she was able to distract herself from her thoughts. "I almost missed one," she whispered. As she walked over to it, she noticed that its cover was worn, and it seemed to emit a faint glow that caught her attention. Maybe it's how the moon perfectly acted as its own spotlight that made it seem so glowy, but it's not just that. She somehow felt a little hint of amusement as she stared at it. As she approached the book, she saw the shinny title written on it, Lunaria, and she couldn't help but be intrigued. The moonlight shining down on the pages illuminated the words in a way that made them seem to come alive.

I grabbed a few and tucked them under my arm, climbing with my free hand. When I reached the highest shelf, I pulled out a thick book with a green cloth cover. The title was embossed in gold: “Medicinal Flora and Fauna of the Northern Territories”. Perfect. “This one looks good,” I called down to Nora. She grinned up at me. “Can you get that blue one too? Next to it?” Nodding, I reached for the blue book she indicated, stretching up on my tiptoes. My fingers brushed the spine but it was a little far. I had to lean to the side to reach it, my tongue poking out in concentration.

In the classroom, She decided to sit far, far away from the teacher and if possible from Ruby. But what kept repeating in her mind was how lonely, lost, and anxious she felt. She tried to stay positive by thinking of people who were born, without knowing who their mother was. Or for whatsoever reason they didn't the child they carried for nine months, with sleepless nights and nauseous mornings. This whole time, Kehna was looking out of the window without even noticing that everyone else was already in the classroom except for the teacher and so everyone who had a clique went to their cliques and she continued staring out of the window.

"You guys okay?" "We will be, go," Leaf smiled and winked at me. "Thanks, guys," "Love you!" Leaf shrieked. I chuckled. I stood up and ran deeper into the aisle. The heels of my boots clacked against the wooden floor. Books were floating in the air. I looked at the shelves, the books were neatly arranged in alphabetical order. I saw a book, a beautiful blue book with white Italian writing, 'NAMES'. I had the urge to touch it, so I reached forward for it.

I replied. I looked at the strange array of treatment Adrian had brought back. Just one singular leaf, a grey pebble and a little flame. How was this meant to cure a bruised ankle? Back at school, we’d learnt that resting, icing, compressing and elevating would help treat an injury such as Rachel’s. But looking at what Adrian had brought back was startling. “Give the leaf, Marco,” Adrian ordered. Adrian gently stroked the leaf on the bruised area of Rachel’s ankle. Rachel winced in pain, and scrunched up her face, the leaf evidently aggravating the pain even more.
