Varian’s hand closed into a fist. “Take it down.”
The sound came seconds later: a soft, compressed pop, muffled like a silenced exhale. Out beyond the glass, something fell, a black dot plummeting from between the high-rises. It vanished into the alley’s shadows with a metallic clatter.
“Got it,” Bram reported. “Custom-built. No transponder, no commercial ID.”
