I hadn't memorized where I was reading so if I wanted to continue reading it would take me some time to find where I was reading. “More interesting than me?” Alpha King curled his lips. The usual genres one would expect to find at a book fair, too: history, fiction, non-fiction, folklore, fantasy, fairytales… everything. I had wondered and hoped that I could find the fiction book about the female alpha, but there was nothing of the sort to be found. I would rummage through the boxes each day, hoping to find something, but nothing. Nothing at all. Picking up a large pile of books from a box, I strolled towards a table that was getting empty to fill it up again.

There were a lot of books ranging from different spheres and works of life and a section for fiction. I opted for financial books. Since childhood, I had loved business and finance, but I never had the chance to continue school. I picked a book titled “RICH mum and POOR mum by TMA” I think I spent some time reading the book, and I almost forgot I was waiting for Gladimir to return.

"You know nothing about me, Cairen. But I don't read romance. It's cliche.” I have never read a fiction book in my life. It's boring and gives me a headache. “Romance is not cliche. It shows true love and how the characters struggle in the name of love,” I remarked, biting my lips not to laugh. Zach wrinkled his nose like I was saying a nasty thing. "Why is it called fiction? It's not a real thing that happened. I would rather read about things that happened in real life than bullshit imagination," he grumpily said.

Stop. Uncle told me that I'm the kind of person who would just think of some silly ideas that are often unlikely to happen. I am not quite sure of that, but maybe the reason behind my weird imagination is from reading books about fictions and fantasies. Maybe. I let out a yawn while I browse through the pages of the book I was studying. It feels kind of drowsy when you're reading a book with no pictures in it. I am maybe an athlete student at my school, but I still need to maintain a passing grade. I don’t know where my study leads me.

She rattled on about how she loves to read books especially love stories and how happy she’s to get a new friend who happens to share the same hobby with her. I don’t fancy love stories because I can easily predict what’s gonna happen next like who wouldn’t? Besides, it’s kind of boring to read the same plot repeatedly; boy meeting the girl, girl meeting the boy, starting from simple infatuation to attraction, then one of’em will confess, and BAM! They start dating and blah blah blah. It’s predictable. I’d rather read genres like adventure, action, crime, thriller, fantasy, etc., where things’re not much predictable plus you’ve to use your brain. At least you can learn something new. “Here w

Books are oxygen for the literate. For me, there's no other way to breathe. Breathing comes naturally to living organisms. For a nerd with a perfect attendance record and zero friends, air fills my lungs, and words fill my head. I like filling my head with facts, opinions, and fanfiction. There's nothing better than reading Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fanfics on a Friday night.
