Must Read Horror Books Novels & Stories

No wonder some people get addicted to it. The memory of what happened last night makes me shudder, and I try not to think of those men's threats. Now I just want to enjoy being alone for the first time in a while, so I go down to the library and search for something to read. There's an entire shelf dedicated to novels about vampires, which is amusing to find inside a vampire's library, so I pick one called Carmilla and settle down in an armchair. It remained a fixed, black pinprick in a sea of terrifying blue. As my eyes adjusted, I realized the skin around the eye didn't look like skin at all. It looked like wet parchment stretched too tightly over a frame that didn't quite fit. I remembered the "rules" people joked about in horror movies. Don't go outside. Don't answer the door. But what do you do when the monster is already in the hallway, wearing your father’s throat like a stolen garment?

Since I get so tired of reading cliche romance stories, I have tried out reading horror again since I'm fond of it as well. I love how dark, real, lighthearted, and horrific his stories can be. I love the world and characters he creates. He is main reason why I gotten into horror. His books "The Shining" and "Carrie", which were turned into classic movies, helped influenced me to create this story.
