“Blackie’s the weirdest cat I know. She loves water.” There are a couple of times I had to literally yank her out of the tub after her bath. She always tried fighting her way back even after I drained the water. She’s weirdly fascinated by water, so I have to make sure I close my bathroom door while showering or soaking in the tub.

"Enough. He's the captain. Just let it go and head home—I'll see you after I check in." He patted her arm, but Mandy wasn't about to let go. "Why don't you come over? I made cream soup to thank you for saving Momo." Momo, her fluffy Ragdoll cat. Wade hesitated, then nodded and tried calling me. But my phone was dead. Completely out. Annoyance flickered across his face. "Fine, playing games again. If you're not going to answer, then don't ever pick up," he muttered.

"And if you fell sick, who would take care of him, huh? No one will be able to feed him and he will eventually be a homeless cat again." I felt like there was a sudden lump in my throat. I hate to say this but he was making a point. I averted his gaze. "Besides, your place is quite far from the company, which means you're leaving your cat here all day long. Don't you think you're being selfish? You're depriving him of the freedom he deserves." I glanced at my poor cat on the couch and saw him sleeping. My conscience started building up again. Indeed, I was being selfish. I always left him here all by himself while he waited for me to come back home.

No I can’t get you that, go get one yourself” Kenny said and the cat jumped onto her lap, flipped the phone away with it’s claws and stared at Kenny.

Couldn't they just leave me alone? I pulled into my garage and closed the door behind me, feeling a sense of relief and safety as I stepped out of the car and into the quiet and peaceful surroundings of my home.
