He sat at the kitchen table and put both hands flat on the surface and looked at them. "Done?" Dante said. He was at the counter, cutting the bread for lunch. "Done," Elian said. "First draft. Very rough in the middle section. The ending needs — " He stopped. "The ending is right. It surprised me." "How does it end?" Dante asked. Elian looked at him. "The same way the best things end," he said. "Not dramatically. Just — the two of them in a place they've made theirs, and the sense that what comes next is the actual story and the novel has just been the prologue to it."

Just even numbers and the 5s 😐 Originally, that part was titled 'epilogue' for a veeeery long time, but then it started to look redundant and unnecessary to me . . . it isn't really an epilogue . . The Unwanted Wife has finally come to an end! ✧ To be honest, this wasn’t how I originally planned to finish the story. But somewhere along the way, my heart changed, and so did the ending. I know some of you may be surprised that the epilogue was written from Lucas’ point of view, but I chose to write it not to justify his actions, but simply to tell his side of the story. I genuinely felt like he deserved that. And truthfully, I knew I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night unless I shared his backstory, and that’s how the epilogue came to life.

It’s okay. Author’s Note; It’s only the epilogue that remains and will be updated tomorrow noon. Every of your questions will be answered in the epilogue but yes this is the ending. Also I’m aware of the typos and will rectify everything once I’m done writing. Thank you for reading 😊
