My Friend The Enemy Book Novels & Stories

Under this roof where I slept, where I tried to feel safe? I couldn’t speak, the realization strangling me. My thoughts spun in a haze of fear, disbelief, and something else I couldn’t yet name. The fire popped in the silence, and the shadows seemed to lean closer, listening. — "Sometimes the enemy of my enemy isn’t a friend—just another weapon waiting to be used.”

I really can’t remember what she called it, I guess Aconitine or something, but she told me, I’d just be weakened for days, it wouldn’t kill me but I refuse to tell him that details. “Yeah, we all know that she hates my guts and wanted so badly to end me, but I guess the person would have reached out to her knowing they have the same goals.” I hinted hoping he would understand what I was pointing out, I could see the wheels in his spinning, and the moment he grinned I knew he had gotten my message. “That saying: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. He knew he could manipulate her to kill you since he also wants to do but he didn’t want to get his hands dirty.” He concluded.

“No, but I damn sure plan to put that on my to-do list for this year.” He laughed. “It’s a good read. Sun Tzu was a Chinese military strategist and philosopher. One of the popular concepts of his work was the enemy of my enemy is my friend.” He twisted the squares and pushed them up and down along the zig zag line, instead of from side to side like on a cube. “Do you understand what that is saying?” “Yes. Whoever tried to kill Mia is an enemy to Mia, me, and you. Therefore, in this moment, we’re all cool in the gang.”

I looked at her for a moment, then I let out a quiet breath. “Yes,” I said simply. “And fortunately,” I added, “the enemy of our enemy is our friend.”

The next day started like any other—except it wasn’t. Our mutual friend caught me by my locker, leaning against it with that smirk she always wore when she thought she knew everyone’s secrets. “Do you like him?” she asked, eyes bright and teasing, like she already had the answer. I rolled my eyes, annoyed that she even asked. “No. Of course not.” She nudged me, leaning closer, her grin wider. “Girl… he’s obsessed with you. Just admit it and go get your man.”

‘Do you have any idea that why Stephen was doubting Mom behind all this? ‘I’m totally clueless about it. Right now, I can’t point out our NEW enemy, who plotted all this against us.’ ‘Same here. And if I start counting the number of enemies in my life, then the list of people who hate would not be less than ten to twelve pages.’, For the first time, I realized that I had made enemies more than friends. In fact, I hadn’t made a single true friend. I was thinking all these things when one of the guards of the dungeon opened the door of the cell.

“Go on. Sack him. I’ll take him as I leave.” “He’d like that.” I grumbled as I stared at my angry friend who was eyeing me with the kind of concern only friends could have for the most stupid member of their circle. “No, he really wouldn’t. He admires you –” “Shut up. What did he say?” I groaned, sitting down, cutting my friend off. We both knew what ‘admires’ meant and I wasn’t in the mood for bullshit. “He said you’d gotten in a fight and were in trouble.”

Most of the late ones like us are still making their way to the entrance since they walked all the way to school. "I gotta go and find Ryder. Xavier said then looked for his best friend/ enemy, Ryder Jackson. He is the worst human being in the world. An asshole, arrogant, jerk, My brother's best friend, Alpha's son, and my enemy. He has never been nice to me. He always finds a way to embarrass me and try to keep people away from me. Like I have this crush back in 6th grade and we just started talking then all of a sudden, he stopped. I knew because whenever he would try, Ryder suddenly pops up.

He spoke to me like he was talking to a little girl. I nodded, feeling my lower lip tremble. “You’re mean,” I pouted. “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to the beach, and when I get back, I want to see my room normal again. We’re enemies here, I get it, but outside, it’ll be like we’re the best friends in the world.” I patted his shoulder. “I don’t see you as my enemy, Amanda. You see me as a threat because of everything with the trial, I know, but I’m just trying to do the right thing,” he said seriously.

Black gun asked. "You don't have to want, you are already," he said, "a common enemy is enough to tight us up as teammates. Moreover, the enemy of my enemy is my friend but I will say you are my best friend cause you are not just an enemy to my enemy but the enemy to my most hated enemy" the smile on Wendigo's lips made Black gun rolls his eyes in irritation. "I can never be friends with a selfish and envious bastard like you" Black gun snorts.
