Aether's Obsession
Lirian shrank back, real fear spiking; he had seen Vaelor in Hydralis, the raw power that could crush him without effort.
Vaelor knelt, massive frame filling the cave, hovering close enough that his heat engulfed Lirian. "Caught you."
Lirian whimpered, but the fear twisted exhilarating, electric. Vaelor's hand reached out, fingers brushing his injured leg. Then, slowly, he lowered his head, tongue, long, thick—lapping at the twisted ankle. The saliva tingled, warm and numbing, pain fading under a wave of unnatural healing. Lirian's breath hitched, chemistry igniting despite terror. Vaelor's eyes met his, obsession evident in the way he lingered, tongue tracing the wound.
