I braced myself for the familiar horror. Instead, the scene sped up. The crash came and went in a handful of frames—impact compressed, sound muted, like someone had hit fast‑forward on the worst moment of my life. Then black. Not a void made of ink or code. Just… nothing. No sound. No sensation. No thought. Peaceful. Empty. It felt like a program closing without error. No afterlife bus. There is no library of pain. No arenas. No, Corvin. No, Jax.

All the birthdays forgotten, the money borrowed, the promises broken. I didn’t even notice the car until someone shouted. “Hey! Watch out!” But it was too late. I heard the sound first, next the screech of tires, then a dull hit that coursed through me. The world tumbled. I crashed hard to the ground, the impact knocking breath out of my chest. For a moment, everything blurred into white light and ringing ears, muffled voices and figures. Then it all went dark. The end? My mind reeled until nothing.

I know that I can live alone because in my whole existence, all I have is only myself and nothing else. Because of my sobbing, my eyes also got blurry. I already can't see the cars in front of me and before I could slow down, I realized that I was heading towards a big tree. I tried to step on the brake pedal but it didn't work. I was immediately overcome with fear and anxiety because of that. I tried to step on it again and again but it still didn't work and before I could open my car door to jump out, my car already crashed into a large tree.

My car lost control. The world flipped sideways. The sound of metal crunching, the screech of the tires as I veered off the road, the sharp thud of my car crashing into a tree—it all happened in a blur. My head slammed against the window with a force that knocked the breath out of me. The impact was so sudden, so violent, I couldn’t stop it. I couldn’t react.

She's kind enough to let me borrow it since she barely touches the thing. The only condition she gave me was to not transform it into a crumpled metal mess, which seems like an obvious request. I mean, come on, crashing is not on my to-do list. I'm basically the reincarnation of Mario Andretti behind the wheel. I slam on the brakes so hard that my head smacks the steering wheel, my curls cascading in front of my face like a tangled mess. Frantically, I swipe them away, my heart racing with panic.

Nova No one knows what they’re talking about when they say, ‘it feels like I’ve been hit by a truck’, because it doesn’t simply feel like a fucking hangover. I feel like I died and was brought back alive in tiny pieces, glued back together, then tied up with a bow. Something else to add to my list: being hit by a truck.

The radio had gone dead and everywhere was silent, the only noise I could hear was the sound of my thumping heart and the dripping of my blood from my head. The headlights of the truck twitched, then finally died down. The truck began to smoke, and I was certain that it would explode as the truck had been having some leakages.

I don’t enjoy talking about our personal life. After spending one hour shopping, we decide to call the night off and go home. As Lisa and I walk to her, I feel strong lights coming towards me. My eyes go wide and I realise that I barely have time to react, I find myself looking for Lisa in fear, wanting to see if she’s in danger or not. I don’t get the chance to know that though as strong pain shoots through my body the moment the car collides with it and I feel myself being lifted off the ground. As my head forcefully meets the hard pavement, I slip into darkness, losing consciousness of my surroundings.

LIYA POV: Getting into a car accident would make much more sense than all of these sudden crashes in my life right now. After so many years I thought everything in my life was starting to come together in a better place but I was wrong as everyone was right that I must be some cost person who can never have peace and happiness in her life no matter how hard I try. But all these years I was telling myself that I will prove them wrong so having thoughts like this will only bring me down.
