Sarah asked, a playful smirk tugging at her lips.
“Something like that,” Alexander replied dryly.
He shifted slightly in his chair, glancing at her. “Which reminds me, you’re my assistant now.”
Sarah blinked. “I’m sorry, what?”
“You heard me,” he said, his lips curving into a teasing smile. “You’re my personal assistant. Effective immediately.”
“Is this one of those husbandly commands I’m supposed to obey?” she asked, crossing her arms and feigning indignation.
“Not a command,” he said, smirking. “A request. A charming one, I might add.”
