I wish I could slip out of here but the annoying pixie by the door is blocking me in. "Why can't we just be friends again?" Izzy asks sadly and Briar lets out a heavy sigh. "We were never friends, Izzy. That wasn't what real friendship is." She says firmly and my heart soars when she looks over at me, warmth in her eyes. Pride fills my body and I naturally gravitate towards her. I stand behind her, soaking up her closeness and letting her know I'm here if she needs me. Izzy watches our interaction before she turns on her heel and leaves us alone.

“What was that for, Chyra? I don't want trouble.” Chyra snickered. “Well, that’s because we know you have no magic. You are powerless. You idiot!” She stepped toward me laughing, but this time around, the magic was swirling as a ball in her hand. “Don’t worry about this mon ami. It won’t kill you. It will just render you unconscious for some time.” Her friends joined in the laughter, and when they started mentioning the replies they were getting, I knew that they had gone live, that everyone in the community, or rather every student in the school site, was possibly watching me.

Do you want to know? Shall I show you one? said little Puffy. "Little monster, are you going to perform for me now? Right here in this room?" Morgan asked. The little guy frowned in dissatisfaction, "Don't I have a name? Call me Little Puffy!"

Sure, it was always important to look your best, and magic was the coolest thing on the planet, but if I had to choose between a gorgeous new top from Bloomingdale's or my best friend Snow, I would choose Snow. Elphame rose from her chair and gripped Bernie’s double chin with a bejeweled hand, “Are your eyes normally blue?” “Yes.” “You don’t have magic,” Elphame looked directly into the camera, “If your eyes have changed color, you have been gifted by magic. We are working with your ineffective governments to get ahead of this problem. Remain, calm humans. We ask all children with magic be supervised at all times.” Nerea turned off the T.V. She stared at Warren with concern, “Guapito, looks like you and I will be spending a lot of time together for the next little while.”

She would become his new master and- I sit up suddenly with a shout. “Raf!” He is so startled that he nearly falls off the couch. “What?” “Clear the room.” I gesture around the room wildly. “Make it the bare inside of the lamp.” “What?” He looks so confused. “Take away your magic.” I tell him, slowly. Allowing him to catch up to my mile a minute thoughts. I smile at him. “The inside of the lamp, with nothing hindering it. I can rub it. A person has to rub the lamp to become your master. Who says it has to be from the outside?”
