From the deeper shadows of the trees, three pairs of phosphorescent green eyes appeared. Shadow Wolves. Massive, spectral creatures with fur that drank the light, more spirit than flesh, tamed only by dark magic and raw meat. They padded forward, silent as smoke, forming a deadly triangle around us.
