This is the only time of the day when I can feel calm before I step out into the chaos that is my life. “So, what’s on the schedule today?” asks Zara in my head. Zara is my wolf spirit. Now before you go jumping to conclusions and calling me a ‘werewolf’, allow me to explain some things. By a human’s definition I am a werewolf, but please don’t ever call us that. We really hate it. What I, and the rest of my kind, are actually called is mutolupus, but we’re happy to just call ourselves wolves. It’s kind of shocking how much myths and stories got right about our kind, but there’s also plenty they get wrong.

' I try to walk off, but the pain is too great. 'You've met a werewolf before?' He says, surprised. 'A werewolf? What is wrong with you? There is no such thing as werewolves. I'm talking about wild wolves. When I was little, my mum and I saw a wolf in the woods. Something bad happened, and I've been afraid of wolves ever since. I can't even go near pet dogs, let alone wolves. So if you've got a pet wolf, I'm not interested.' I try to walk past him again, to no avail, as he steps in front of me again.

He cursed angrily as he walked out. "Peterson?" Helen called out to him. He paid deaf ears to her, causing her to run after him as he walked out of the big hall. ***Peterson's POV*** 5 HOURS AGO I stretched my body, cracking every bone in me. I am 23 years old and not the favorite of them all. I am Peterson Millard and from a long line of impulsive werewolves' during the full moon. We have a secret underground and whenever it was the full moon, my ancestors or probably, stories I still think of as midnight tales, locked themselves up as they transitioned into their Lycan form.

Born as a werewolf who cannot shift, I was cast out of the pack on my eighteenth birthday when I couldn't transform into my wolf. In the Azure Pack, it is a bad omen for a wolf not to shift when the time comes. There's a prophecy of the one who will bring doom to the world, and this person will neither be a werewolf nor a human. Someone like me is destined to bring bad luck to those who come near me. Even at that moment, Elena, who happens to be my only friend and roommate, had no idea that I had no wolf. I don't even smell like one, but I always make those around me believe that it was because I used the wolfless perfume, which most werewolves use to hide their identity.

We have volunteers that give us the fresh blood that we need, but over the last 10 or so years, she has been in my possession; she has been the sole provider of my blood. Lately, I have been feeling a change in her. She is being defiant, talking back, and even trying to fight against me. I believe that she is approaching her 18th birthday. I know she is a werewolf not only from who gave her to me but from the taste of her blood. It is why it is so addictive and why no one knows she is here. Werewolf pets and slaves are forbidden as their blood is so powerful, and additive and can make one of weak mind and will go insane looking and craving for more.

“Sir, you must be joking! My daughter Amora is not a werewolf. She is just a human like us,” said Mr. Petri, rejecting Apollo's statement firmly. Even though he saw with his own eyes how great Amora was against all those werewolves, he still couldn't believe that she was a werewolf. "She doesn't have a wolf coming out of her body," said Mrs. Petri, playing with her fingers. “And I know you are good werewolves who want to help us and save us. I’d like to say thank you. But now you can go, please.”

a male spoke. "Tomorrow, I shall put a stop to him, once and for all," said Alpha Deucalion. "We shall fight against you!" the men said angrily. "And I too," I wanted to join him as well. Alpha Deucalion looked at me. "My people are being fooled by him and I want to prove to them that he is a werewolf," I told Alpha Deucalion as I raised the cloak in my hand the witch gave me that Bazaar is using to act as a human.

They dug up their hidden secrets and anger against each other, but I couldn't understand. Firstly, I didn't know why they had such strength, and secondly, why did they seem like vampires or werewolves? "Are you humans?" I mentioned, and Kidd looked at me. "He already knows," he said, glancing at Daniel, then suddenly leaping before me. "Because you've seen our true forms, sweetie, you need to die now," he smiled at me, revealing his long fangs that weakened my entire system. "This will be quick. Just close your eyes," and as if under a hypnotic spell, I closed my eyes tightly, waiting for him to take my life.
