She pressed a hand to her mouth in an attempt to muffle her sobs, her emotions threatening to consume her. In the quiet solitude of the bathroom, her tears fell like rain. It was as if each tear held the weight of her fears, her regrets, and the overwhelming uncertainty that now hung over her future. She sank to the bathroom floor, her back against the wall, as the reality of her situation crashed down upon her.

I deactivated my social media accounts except for my Twitter account that became my virtual diary. I am indulging myself with tv series I can watch on Netflix. Some series there has a moral lesson that also made me realize about small things. At times like this, we need to change. “Tears can be teachers if we let them” I saw a phrase on the internet. I instantly took a screenshot of it. This quote is realistic. If we let our tears be our teachers, then it will teach us a lot of lessons in life. Crying doesn’t mean a person is weak. Crying is a way where we need to let go of the pain, sadness, and anger in our hearts. After we cry, everything will be okay.

“Please.” I lowered my gaze, tears gathering in my eyes, but this time they weren’t from pain. They were from something far more dangerous, hope.

She had witnessed his vulnerability and strength intertwined, and she knew that his tears were an expression of a deep longing for the love he had lost. Chapter Two Ava’s POV The house was eerily quiet, except for the soft rustling of my hands as I packed away the last remnants of my past. I stood in Lily’s bedroom, my fingers tracing over the framed picture of my little girl. Her bright smile was frozen in time, her eyes full of the happiness she had always carried. My chest ached, but I couldn’t cry anymore—there were no tears left. No more pain to wipe on. Slowly, I removed the picture from the wall, placing it gently inside the bag I had set aside. The bag was meant for burning. I didn't want to see anymore of it that will bring pain towards me.

All I could do was clutch his portrait and weep until I fainted. I quickly raised my hands to wipe my eyes and said, "I want to marry Eric." Father blinked in surprise. "Are you sure? Weren't you the one shouting as a kid that you'd marry no one but the boy from the Garrisons?" When I nodded frantically through my tears, Father didn't understand why I was crying like this, but he relented. "There, there. I'll talk to Chief Grayson in a couple of days and ask what he thinks, okay? Don't cry, sweetheart."

I dropped down to the floor, trying to clean up my mess. "Damn it," I whimpered. I was losing it. It had been such a long fucking day. Barely keeping it together. On autopilot. So close to snapping. A warbling noise bubbled past my lips, tears welling in my eyes. I couldn't take it anymore. I tried not to cry. So hard, but I couldn't help the first sob slip past my lips. Everyone was staring at me. I could feel it. But damn it, if that didn't make the tears fall faster, humiliating me further.

Without hesitation, Liam crouched and wrapped his arms around Theodore, who was still crying. "Hey, it's okay. I'm right here. Everything's going to be fine. Stop crying, little man." Reassured, Theodore pressed his lips together. His eyes were puffy from crying, tears blurring his sight. He whispered through his sobs, "T-Thank you." Then, he brushed the tears from his face. Liam grinned, his hand brushing the back of Theodore's head. "That's it. Now that's a little man."

She felt a rawness inside her, a vulnerability that she hadn’t shown anyone in years. As she spoke, the tears she had been holding back began to fall, their steady stream breaking free from the tight hold she had kept on them. They weren’t just tears of sadness; they were a release—a way for her to let go of everything she had been bottling up for far too long. It was as if those tears were finally washing away the confusion and hurt that had taken root deep within her. With every drop that fell, Isla felt a little lighter, as though the burden she had carried was slowly beginning to lift, giving her the chance to heal and move forward.

Tears are falling off my eyes, and I start to whimper. "N... Are you crying? Why are you crying? I hope you're not crying for David because he doesn't deserve anyone's tears or sympathy." She tells me. "I'm not crying for him. I'm crying because life is so hard. Being black and a vampire has not been an easy journey for me. It still hurts that my parents lost their lives because of racism. Why must we have to suffer the most? This life is so cruel and unfair!" I wailed, venting out my frustration.
