It was elegant and terrifying. We approached a woman seated behind a sleek glass desk. Her face was expressionless. When she saw Mr. Everhart, she stood quickly and bowed, deeply, reverently, before sliding something across the counter: a mask. Without hesitation, Mr. Everhart took it. The mask was white porcelain, etched with subtle obsidian lines. He placed it over his face and pinned a silver tag to his lapel. The name engraved on it was, Alpha. He turned to me “You won’t be needing this yet,” he said quietly, though his eyes behind the mask were unreadable.

' Tsarayu thought to himself as he observed the mask he found lying at the bottom. It was a golden mask with bright blue stripes going in random directions, like electricity was buzzing on its surface, making this mask look even more mysterious. Out of curiosity, Tsarayu tried putting this mask on his face. "What?" Tsarayu was shocked as soon as he wore that mask on his face.

"And to celebrate this, my son Jeremy will soon be engaged to Damien Anderson." A wave of whispers rippled through the crowd. Cameras flashed blinding me but I just stood still frozen. Everywhere became quiet the moment the moment the hall doors were pushed open and then a mysterious figure with an aura strong enough to make anyone his gaze landed on to freeze walked in but his face was covered with a mask. Then the whispers began 'who is he?' 'what is he doing here?' 'what family is he from?' 'why is he wearing a mask?'

A figure stepped into view. She wore a baggy gray-and-white hoodie, the hood pulled low over her face, and cropped pants that showed off her pale ankles—clean, slender, striking. Her face was mostly covered, save for a gleaming mask shaped like a Lotus—etched in gold filigree over a dark, reinforced alloy. Elegant. Mysterious. And unmistakable. Everyone in the Alliance knew that mask. Only the Lotus wore it. Saxon’s eyes widened slightly before she lowered her weapon.

Once again on display. "The final touch..." I slid on the bunny mask—a sleek, velvet half-face piece with long satin ears. Just enough mystery to make a man curious, and a billionaire lose control. "It’s time to be a whore."

But no one really knew what happened. Even when he gets asked by people about the reason for the mask he still refuses to disclose anything about it and instead choose to live like that. But there's was a particular someone though who always puts a smile on Damien's face and gives him joy each time he thinks of her.

I turned, one leg sinking into the trousers, to see Laura standing by the doorpost, a wallet and a… Is that a mask? I cussed when I made a mistaken movement in the big trousers which caused me to fall to the ground with the trouser still in my hand. Laura laughed. “Which threw you off? The mask or the wallet?” She sauntered toward me, and stretched out her right hand. “Let me take a guess. The mask. You haven’t seen its kind before, right?” I nodded, as I took her hand and got to my feet. The mask was almost transparent, only that there was some sort of black luminescence about it, that increased its beauty and of course mystery.

If I were to estimate his age, I’d think he was over sixty. “Why?” I whispered. Craig had told me how important the mask was and how the person buying and the person selling information have to be anonymous. Red mask smiled, making him look younger. “This is the only way I can show you that I am sincere about the things I am about to say.” For some reason, I didn’t want to know what he wanted to say, but I was also eager to know about this strange mark. Craig also leaned towards him, “Does this mean she’s the person needed for the Blood Moon pack prophecy?”

The mask stretched into a smile, making it look even more grotesque than before. "The Catalyst would live as long as you do," the mask said. Miguel suddenly dropped the box. "Boss," he said, pointing at the mask. I turned to look at it. The mask was spewing a black inky substance, and immediately it entered my mouth. I fell as I struggled to breathe. I clawed at my throat as I felt I was being drowned by the strange substance.

The Masquerade mask was Harriet's special mask, a white snake mask with one eye hole on the right side. "Actually, this is my mother's mask," said Harriet quietly. She then smiled and held up another mask box. Harriet showed it to Liam who was still furrowing his brows at her previous words and opened the box. Another white mask appeared in their vision. It was a white wolf mask with golden stripes around its eyes. Harriet smiled proudly showing the mask design. It was the one she ordered yesterday, which turned out to be perfect and ready at just the right time. "This is for me?" Liam asked.
