Alpha's Regret: Howling For A Second Chance
No trace of the scent my wolf claimed to have detected.
"I can't be mistaken," she insisted. "My nose never deceives me."
I trusted my wolf's instincts, but I couldn't find any evidence to support her claim. Frustration and unease settled within me as I continued to search in vain.
And then, my eyes landed on a mysterious black box placed beside the bed. It was long and had an eerie resemblance to a coffin. Fear gripped me, but curiosity pushed me forward.
Taking a deep breath, I approached the box cautiously. I crossed myself, seeking a moment of protection, before slowly reaching out to unlock it. With trembling hands, I lifted the lid, my eyes squeezed shut in anticipation.
