CHAPTER 185 “What seems like large gates or portals to a completely different world has opened up in different areas in Mystic Meadow, Willow Crest, and Westerville. So many have already been killed by these monstrous creatures that are continuously pouring out of these gates, but the military has arrived and is currently moving people as fast as they can to numerous safe houses constructed around the world.” A reporter spoke into her microphone, sitting inside a helicopter that hovered over a district of Mystic-Meadow that had caught fire.

On the outskirts of A Country, there lies a place called Misty Town—named after the constant gloomy atmosphere that blankets the region like a shroud of clouds. The town has a population of fewer than 20,000 people, and because of that, everyone knows one another and can easily distinguish between residents and visitors. Misty Town is a popular tourist destination in A Country, known for skiing and mountain climbing. However, all the locals know the real secret: this is where the vampire coven resides.

She was rummaging for something on her desk until she showed us a piece of paper. "What's that?" I asked. "It's a map. I know it doesn't look that much but it can still help us find our way to Newhallow Mountain, where Taewe, the Village of Mystic is located." I've heard about this village. What Nereza said was true, Taewe is known as the Village of Mystic. The people who live there are mostly enchanted beings like elves and witches. But not all lands in Aldemore have a Mystic Village. I have heard that only five territories are lucky enough to have a village like Taewe.

But this was not the weirdest part. I was headed to a much weirder place. I was headed to the one famous psychic in our town. Widely known as Mystic Joe. No need to judge me. Who in their right senses, goes to those fraudsters for a solution. That had been my attitude too. But I needed to save a dying Dragon, so I was not left with much options. The stairs that lead me to the room were lit with tiny neon lights. It made me cringe more. " Come in! "

Mystic squeezed Aaron’s hand. Her voice threaded into his mind: Let me. He inclined his head. She stepped forward, spine straight, chin lifted. “My name is Mystic Hayes — daughter of Helen and Dawson Hayes. I have not walked these lands since I was a child, but they are still my heritage.” She turned her forearm outward. A glowing tattoo shimmered beneath her skin — intricate, ancient, unmistakable. “I bring this mark as proof.” The head warrior slowly descended from his position and approached her, his boots echoing on stone. Aaron shifted instinctively — ready to move — but Mystic remained still.

"Moonstone Inn, 1847 Shadowbrook Lane, Mystic Valley, New Orleans." Mystic Valley. The name had sounded mysterious when her finger jabbed the map orb in frustration, searching for anywhere that wasn't home. Anywhere Marcus and Jenna wouldn't be. A tiny corner of New Orleans parish she'd never heard of, barely visible unless you zoomed in close enough to see the dust motes. Her mother's voice replays in her skull. "Ivy, sweetheart, maybe you should wait. Research this place first. You don't just fly somewhere because it has a pretty name."

I remarked sarcastically. Cain smiled and closed his eyes, placing his palms together. Slowly, the fog dissipated into thin air, revealing a beautiful little town that made me gasp. I shook my head in fascination and looked at him. He laughed heartily and led the way. I berated myself for underestimating him, even after what I had seen at Dunemire. The magic they used to conceal their cities in order to keep themselves safe was incredible!

she asked, leaning forward to get a better look. “Nothing you need to worry about right now,” Professor Thorne said, but her grip on the steering wheel tightened. They drove for another ten minutes before the trees opened up, and Maya’s breath caught in her throat. Mystic Grove Academy stood at the top of a hill, made of grey stone that looked like it had been there for centuries. Ivy crawled up the walls, windows glowed warm gold even though it was still early morning, and towers rose up into the sky like something out of a fairy tale. But there was something else about it ….a weight in the air, like the whole place was holding secrets deep in its foundations.

"Don't take it wrong. I wanna help you but please tell me the details of where you came from. We might help." Alyssa looked at Zane then sighed. "Okay we have been wondering on what happened that night. So if you say you can help us find answers then that's great. Where can I start.... okay let me just start from the begining. Our village was named Zimicah," she watched as the three men looked at each other with confusion. She continued on, "Surprised huh we were surprised as well. It is now that we have seen the land this far that I realise Zimicah was no where normal. All those gigantic trees with those multicoloured leaves, those giants birds everything about it doesn't make sense anymore

“Please Alpha,” “If anything goes out of line, I can’t assure you that I won’t act.” He replied calmly and I nodded. Hopefully, nothing went out of line. I exhaled deeply as I pushed the wooden door open only to be welcomed with the familiar scent of booze. One would think this place was a beer parlor but in fact, this was a gathering place for all species. It was a shop for all kinds of artifacts, weapons, grimoires, potions and of course, ingredients. Their gazes fell on us and some of the people there who knew me simply gave knowing gazes.
