I left my hair down, in loose waves falling over my shoulders, and dabbed a touch of perfume on my pulse points.
This wasn’t just dinner. Not anymore, and I could feel it.
Naomi opened her door at exactly seven. She wore fitted dark jeans and a simple white button-up with the sleeves rolled up, exposing the full length of her tattoos. Her curls were loose tonight, framing her face, and the moment her eyes landed on me they darkened with obvious appreciation.
“Fuck, Dani,” she said, voice low and rough as she stepped aside to let me in. “You look incredible.”
