I blush as I look up at Taran, there is a gentleness in his eyes, as he looks at me, “I must admit, this is also the first time I’ve smiled since leaving her.”
“Trudy, enjoy your day to rest. Tomorrow we will begin again. Go explore the island,” Willow says. Her branches brush our backs.
“I will speak with you before departing,” Taran assures her.
We walk out of the meadow, “Would you like to see my house?” I asked.
Taran nods, “Yes.”
We walk to the small cottage. As we walk inside, Taran pauses. His eyes wander over the paintings. “Treyah told me the last sorceress that stayed here painted them when she was a child.”
