Third-Person POV With Max there, Harry's birthday party was a success. Harry and Tracy quickly tossed the earlier unpleasant incident to the back of their minds. It wasn't until the party ended that Tracy finally remembered Ethan. She unlocked her phone, expecting a message from him, but there was nothing—no texts, no missed calls. Even the money she had sent him had been returned in full. Tracy's grip tightened around the phone. She couldn't tell if what she felt was annoyance or distress. But it was hard to leave the past in the past. I couldn’t get the way I’d felt when I woke up alone in the woods all those years ago, left behind by him. Even if Kendra had lied to him which ultimately led to me running away, he had still left me there alone. It was hard to keep feeling betrayed by that though. He was young, and we both were. I am not saying the charges on this woman are not serious, they are and I will take them seriously, but something is off about this guy, I can’t put my finger on it, but something is wrong. Maybe it is that he has lost his Luna which has rendered his Alpha helpless, it is a lot to put onto a Beta unexpectedly, usually as an Alpha if you do not have an heir the Beta is your back up, they are trained for the position, but gaining it suddenly due to loss can’t be easy. Regardless, he sounds deranged on the phone so if I do find this woman I will hear her side of the story and only then will I decide how to proceed.

His wolf had let anger take the wheel, almost playing right into the traitor's hands. Beside us, Nora rode close to her father.
