Finally satisfied, I grabbed my book bag, its straps slightly worn from overuse, the fabric decorated with enamel pins of my favorite anime and video game characters. With a deep breath, I turned toward the door. It was time to face the day. I sighed dramatically, dropping my book bag onto the couch. “I see you took all morning to get ready.” Abigail smirked, twirling a strand of golden hair between her fingers. “And I see you just rolled out of bed and threw on the nerdiest thing you own.” I clutched my cardigan in mock offense. “Excuse you, this is peak comfort and self-expression.”

When I unzipped it this time I had more time to look through and see what seemed to be an almost endless amount of paperwork on Alpha Ian of the Midnight Pack. "I wish I had a notebook and something to write with so that I could take notes." I said to Aerona. "Maybe you should check the bag. You know dad. He thinks of everything." She said to me. I rifled around in the bag when sure enough I felt the telltale small metallic spirals that indicated a spiral notebook was in the bag. I grabbed it and pulled it out to find two mechanical pencils tucked nicely into the spirals and a lead refill container taped to the front and scrawled across the cover in my dad's handwriting were the words JUST I

He barks before snatching the bag, and I watch in silence as I stare at him, wondering what his expression would be when he sees what’s inside it. “What the fuck!? Are you a teacher or something!?” He demands in confusion as he shuffles through the bag, and I struggle to bite back my amusement at his expression. “What is it?” The guy in the middle asks, and the left side looks up in annoyance. “Pencils, books and some other dumb shit.” He replies, and they all turn to me. “I told you we should have targeted the bigger one.” The guy on the right says, and my brows crease. Bigger one??

She patted my hair, smiling. “What's it?” “It's time to go.” Just two words, and it seemed like I had lost everything once more. “What?!!” “I have expended the fragment I have. Here.” She opened her bag and got out a thick book and a necklace with a jar-like pendant. “This will hold my spirit when I leave,” she said, gesturing to the jar. “It will capture my last essence, so you can always have me with you. And this.” She pointed at the book. “That's my journal. It holds all the answers to questions you might have.”

Annabel’s Pov. The Mercedes-Benz finally pulled over at the school’s driveway and I hurriedly reached for the expensive brown coloured multipurpose handbag which had in it some beautiful sets of hardcover notes, customized pens that had my name fancily written all around it, a water bottle, some snacks, a mini electric fan, flannel and a wallet filled with cash. There was also a similar but smaller bag beside me which smelled heavenly, I know it’s filled with varieties of meals that I honestly and unashamedly can’t wait to devour during lunchtime.

Many will doubt her until her full potential is unleashed. "How are we supposed to know this is true? It could be just words written in a notebook to give us false hope or earn trust for a spy." I glared at her. "Because I knew this would be asked, I brought the book with me." She reached in her bag pulling out a book that looked really old. "This is the pack book of Dark Moon Pack. I would be killed if my father discovered I stole it." She set it carefully on the table. I could tell it was real by the pages which were yellowed and the edges were torn. The leather was very dry and the binding looked like it wanted to tear into bits.

If she went without them, she might not make it beyond the ridge, and she wouldn’t risk stumbling back into Jack’s arms alive. So she planned. In the daycare, tucked behind a shelf of forgotten toys, she had found a small bookbag—pink, frayed at the edges, with a patch of a cartoon wolf on the front. To anyone else, it looked like a child’s thing. To her, it was salvation.

His teeth pressed against my neck, biting hard before pulling away and letting go of me. “Such a charmer.” The side glare he gave me only made me want to bait him more, because the jealousy he’d begun to display was one of the last reactions I expected from him. The trunk was filled with our two suitcases, his book bag holding the super-secret laptop, and the bag full of weapons. “You really would love it if the world went into some nuclear war or something equally as population devastating so there wouldn’t be as much cattle around, wouldn’t you?” I asked as I took the book bag from him.

she whined, tugging on his arm. Darius? His icy blue eyes drifted to the barbie, and there was a sharpness to them. Annoyance? His gaze returned to me and briefly to the worn tan backpack I’d used sewn on patches to hide holes. His lips turn up ever so slightly. “Uchiha,” was all his deep voice said before he stepped around me and his barbie girlfriend had to struggle to keep up in her sky-high heels. Uchiha? I was confused until I looked at my bag and remembered that I had recently patched it with the Uchiha crest from the Naruto manga and anime. Does he know it?

She beamed as she carried a pink paper bag. "What is this?" I shoved my hand in and pulled the furry thing out. "A panda!" Besides makeup, I loved stuffed animals. I had a bunch of them on my bed to keep me warm at night. "Thank you so much!" I hugged Norma and she giggled. "This one's from me!" Mey handed me a striped blue paper bag. I almost dropped it since the weight caught me by surprise. I pulled out two books and laughed once I saw the first book's cover: Harry Potter for Dummies.
