The Alpha's Mate
We dive into the water at the same time, and this time, instead of splashing and playing, we just swim, side by side, as far out as we can.
From here, the cottage is just a pink speck on the expanse of beach, and we’re surrounded by gentle waves. We float, quiet, soaking in the beauty of our surroundings. A school of silver fish swims by, flashing almost blindingly in the clear waters.
Nash snaps at them, catching a few and swallowing them in quick bites. He’s a good hunter, I can tell. I’ve never hunted in wolf form, but he shows me how, corralling the little fish toward me so I can more easily grab them in my jaws.
