Standing, I reluctantly grabbed the
basket and dropped it down on the space beside him, going back to get the can of worms.
He deposited the wildly writhing fish in the basket and proceeded to grab a worm. He fixed it around the hook in concentration, saying, "I find some aspect of life is just like fishing. To entrap a treasure, you have to lure it with bait."
Looking at him, I muttered, "Another damn outlook on life..."
He turned his attention to me. "What?"
Averting my gaze, I said, "Nothing."
He caught another fish then passed the rod back to me, going back to lower himself onto his rock.
