The Lunar prophecy
I swiftly removed my worn coat and wrapped it around her frail frame, trying to trap some warmth.
"You'll be fine, Naomi. Just rest," I promised, holding her close as she nestled into my arms, exhaustion claiming her.
As the fire crackled to life, its warmth seemed to soothe Naomi's shivering form, but her fever lingered. Concern etched on my face, I knew I had to find food to nourish her weakened body.
