My reputation would be tarnished, and I'd become the laughing stock.
"I don't want to train anymore... I don't want to," I sobbed, burying my face in Nathaniel's chest.
His arms enveloped me, offering comfort. Though I knew he didn't fully understand, his nod of reassurance soothed my frazzled nerves.
"I just can't embarrass myself further," I whispered, my voice cracking. "They already hate me... I don't want to add more fuel to the fire."
Nathaniel's expression softened, his eyes filled with empathy. "It's fine, pup," he whispered, his voice low and gentle. "I'll personally train you, and nobody will be there if you want."
