Biting down her resentment, Natalie forced a calm smile and drifted toward the others, chatting lightly as if nothing had happened.
But her fists were clenched at her sides.
Across the room, Ullysis waved over a waiter.
"Bring me a pack of cigarettes," he ordered. His voice was low, impatient.
A moment later, he stood, frowning as he grabbed the pack.
"I’m going out for a smoke," he muttered, irritation lacing every word.
Before anyone could speak, he was gone.
Natalie watched him leave, frowning deeply.
When did he start smoking?
He never used to be that kind of person.
