I rubbed my hand that had been enclasped with Dimitri's and placed it in a pocket of my trousers, wondering why it suddenly felt colder than it had before. Sorry for only one song choice for the length of this entire chapter, but I felt like it really encompassed everything that happened and all the moods Rose fluctuates between. She's finally feeling comfortable enough around Dimitri to open up a little more, which in turn prompts him to do the same. This scene was obviously adapted from VA, but it's one of my favorite moments in the original series. I love when we get to see the small things that make Dimitri the man he is, and his past with his father is a key part of his life.

She whispered, shaking her head. “Good.” He said before slamming his cane on the tiled floor again, gaining Dimitri's attention. “You can leave now. The girl will be staying with us until we confirm if she's really pregnant. If she is, you must wed her.” Dimitri's face darkened as he turned to Mara. “Pray that you don't.” Then, he stood up and dusted his pants before walking out of the mansion. When he got to his car, he brought out his phone and dialed his cousin's number.

He says giving Dimitri a quick hug before the memory begins to fade again, displaying a different scene. This time we were in a dark forest. The first thing I noticed was Dimitri and his mother running as quick as they could through the woods, they were trying to escape. The hissing and rabid snarling of the vampires pursuing them could be heard and it was undoubtedly getting closer. In a twist, a vampire lunged at them out of nowhere, in a swift retaliation was decapitated by Dimitri's mom mid air. Soon enough they were surrounded by a horde of vampires.

Truthfully, she is tired of fighting and simply wants the nightmare to end. But will it end? “Let’s go,” Dmitri said. He wrapped his hand around her shoulder. Roseanne is in a state of shock but follows his lead, not saying another word. They walk on with Leo on alert for any other vampires. The occasional twitching sounds from the forest scared Roseanne but Dmitri kept on saying words of comfort to her.

I was glad Damien was alive and Alpha Demitri was no longer going to be a problem. After conquering Emerald City and Gold City and arresting Alpha Roland, we set off to Royal City. We went to Alpha Leo's apartment. It was at this place, I heard something that hurt my heart so bad. Victoria, Damien's former mate, was pregnant with Damien's child. With that Anton moves wrapping his arm around my shoulders and we make our way upstairs as Miranda and Tommy follow. "Let's make sure you understand me dad," I hear Dimitri say, " I am not going to force her to have sex with me, in fact we are leaving for Italy tomorrow and I'm going to give her one year to fall in love with me. If at the end of that year she does not love me I will release her with no hard feelings." "Who do you-" "I'm not finished, further more whatever happens between me and my wife is none of your fucking business, if anything of note takes place I will inform you otherwise don't ever cross this line again," Dimitri yells.

Her eyes scanned the whole forest till it finally settled on William. She raised a questioning brow “You said they were getting mated today. How come I don’t hear anything?” she queried. William scoffed, “Maybe you lost your hearings after being locked up... I’ll be back in due time to collect that which was bargained for. If you think you can make a deal with me and play smart, then you better think again.” He warned before dispersing into thin air. Seeing she had been left alone, Dimitri finally breathe out in relief. “I need to find the seer. If he knows about my rebirth and who I am, he can help stop Krisen from mating the wrong person, no?”

He pulled his fingers through his hair. Their traditions had always seemed so barbaric to him, but since he was never born into the ultimate position of power, he would never be able to change any of them.

She was right under Delia’s nose, rubbing her pregnancy in Delia’s face.” My father sighed sadly and I could tell that he was reliving the events of thirty years ago.
