Natasha asked, scrambling across the floor, grabbing all of the paper cups that had been trampled on.
“Oh yeah, I met a few nice people. Nobody I liked, if that’s what you mean. Your friend Kacie was nice, though,” Emma replied, the mention of my mate causing my ears to perk up.
However, I remained facing the counter, cutting up the vegetables, but listening intently.
“Kacie is lovely,” agreed Natasha, clearing her throat subtly.
I could feel her eyes burning the back of my head, silently begging for confirmation on how much she could say, and I sighed heavily, turning.
