“These are anchor points,” Seraphine said, her face pale. “The nightmare seeds are just the delivery system. These symbols amplify the effect, make the nightmares stronger, more targeted.”
“Can you remove them?” Dorian asked.
“Yes, but…” She traced one of the symbols with her finger, careful not to touch it. “This took time. Hours of work. Someone would have noticed unless—”
